ONE Championship heavyweight king Brandon Vera couldn't contain his excitement after meeting UFC great Chuck Liddell at Sanford MMA in Florida.

In a social media post Thursday night, March 18, Vera shared a photo of him holding his firstborn Atreyu Timothy with the former UFC light heavyweight champion, who was also known as "The Ice Man."

"When the Legend Chuck Liddell comes thru at Sanford MMA and Atreyu didn’t even flinch when Uncle Chuck was holding him while I was filming," wrote Vera. "Been nothing but blessings since we got here."

Way back in February 2006, Vera's victory over Justin Eilers in UFC 57 served as one of the main cards of the third and final clash between Liddell and storied rival Randy Couture.

The Filipino-American champion knocked out Eilers in the first round while Liddell also scored a second-round knockout victory of his own over Couture.

Coming out of retirement after eight years, Liddell, now 51, suffered defeat at the hands of Tito Ortiz via knockout in November 2018.

In his heydays, the UFC Hall of Famer stunned Ortiz twice in 2004 and 2006, respectively.

Vera, meantime, is currently holed up in Sanford MMA for an invitational training camp alongside ONE Championship stars Aung La N Sang and Martin Nguyen.

Prior to training camp, Vera, 43, had spent family time in Guam with wife Jessica Craven and son Atreyu in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic before returning to the Philippines early this year for a shoot.
