Benfica midfielder Christy Ucheibe has been called up for the Nigerian team's double header against São Tomé and Príncipe in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
After appearing at the 2023 World Cup, the Reds' midfielder has once again earned the trust of the African team's coaching staff. The two matches are scheduled for September 22 and 26.
In the international break, Benfica provides seven athletes to the Portuguese national team (Catarina Amado, Ana Seiça, Carole Costa, Lúcia Alves, Andreia Faria, Andreia Norton and Francisca Nazareth), while Marie Alidou was called up by Canada, who will play Jamaica in the qualifying play-off for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
