Christopher Timothy (born 14th October 1940 in Wales) is a Welsh actor, television director and writer who is currently appearing as Ted Murray in EastEnders and has done since May 2017.
He is the son of BBC announcer Andrew Timothy and is known for roles in television programmes such as Othello and All Creatures Great and Small. He also directed the shows Doctors and The Afternoon Play. Footage of Timothy portraying Hamlet was used in the instructional series Humanities Through the Arts, episode 8 Drama: Meaning for Every Age.
He has been married twice, firstly to Susan Boys whom he has six children with and secondly to Annie Veronica Swatton in which they are still married and have beared one child together.
