Sit down Kim Kardashian — there’s a new butt breaking the internet.
Christopher Meloni, who plays beloved Detective Stabler on “Law & Order,” got quite cheeky in a Brooklyn cover shoot for Men’s Health where he’s seen tugging a vintage car, doing squats and posing blissfully nude with only a gym weight concealing his firearm.
The ripped and tatted Meloni, who was stunned to make the cover at age 60, had been quick to admit that it’s his oh-so-popular rear end making the headlines.
“There’s kind of a thing about my butt,” he said while discussing the “cultural moment” it’s been enjoying. “My ass is. People are really into it.”
That ba-donk-a-donk, along with other physical qualities, have led to Meloni enjoying his newfound internet fame, thanks to several viral photos of his rear.
“I’ve been blessed with glutes that have an attractive shape,” Meloni told Interview Magazine previously, noting he’s been working hard with a trainer. “So I guess you could argue that the glute-peeping public are now reaping the benefits of all that hard work.”
He’s also fond of the nickname “zaddy,” which is now an official word in the English language.
“I’ve been called that a lot, and who am I to argue with it?” he told Interview. “Sure, I’m a zaddy.”
But most of all, Meloni believes “it’s cool as sh-t” to be on the cover of Men’s Health at his age.
“The aspect of age comes into play as far as the cover of [this magazine] and how I feel about it,” he said in the September 2021 cover story, which details his intense fitness regimen. “A friend of mine said, ‘Did you ever think in a million years you’d be on the cover of Men’s Health?’ I said, ‘Certainly not at age 60.’”
Butt jokes aside, Meloni spilled some dirty details during his time on the force — particularly his initial departure from “Law & Order: SVU” in 2011, noting that his cop salary wasn’t enough.
“They literally came to me on a Thursday night and said, ‘This is the deal. We want the answer by tomorrow. It’s our way or no way,’ Meloni said after he tried compromising to appear on fewer episodes and accept the network’s hardball amount.
“I don’t want to f–k around with you guys. This is what I want. If you can’t do it, that’s fine. Let’s figure out my exit,” he said in rebuttal.
Meloni also confessed to having few friends at NBC, saying he’s “just not a showbiz guy.”
Though, reuniting with creator Dick Wolf for the recent hit show “Law & Order: Organized Crime” hit all the right notes for Meloni.
“It felt good to have to make that decision — which was a big yes-or-no decision — with a sense of clarity and a sense of certain things being correct,” he said.
