Left-back Christopher Lenz talks about his move to RB Leipzig and his initial impressions
Shortly before the transfer window slammed shut, Christopher Lenz moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to RB Leipzig.

- “From the very first minute, I received a very warm welcome. If you can get out on the pitch with the boys for the first time quickly, it helps make integrating yourself a lot easier. The boys here are all really nice, they talk to you and ask you how you’re doing. It makes me happy that settling in has been so smooth. I already knew Leo Zingerle and Janis Blaswich, which made things even easier.”

- “When I heard there was interest, it very quickly became clear to me that I’d definitely like to go for it. RB Leipzig are one of the top teams in Germany and have also recently made a name for themselves on the international stage. When they come knocking, you don’t think twice.”

- “I’m a pretty defensive left-back, but I can also always join the attack. I’m a team player and give everything for the badge.
I’d like to give the attackers the impression that they don’t have to worry about things. If we lose the ball and things start to get a bit hairy, I’m there to sort things out. My strengths are contesting challenges and defending.”

- “There are many exceptional players and top talents here. I noticed in the first training sessions that you have to be fully focused at all times. Even though I’m already 28, I hope that I can still improve myself at this level and learn something new.”
