Opinions on Stanley Tucci as a director?

I’ve only seen “Big Night” and I love it. How are his other movies?

I'm in the same boat, only seen Big Night, which is fantastic. Just looked at his others and don't have a strong inclination to see them.

It was kind of a bomb, but I love The Imposters.

It’s basically Tucci and Oliver Platt doing an R-rated version of a screwball 1930s comedy.

They play desperate actors who can’t get a break and they stowaway on a cruise ship for most of the movie and have various whacky encounters with the STACKED cast.

I’m talking Lili Taylor, Billy Connolly, Steve Buscemi, Tony Shaloub, Campbell Scott, Alfred Freakin’ Molina.

It’s actually a great rainy day movie.

If it stars Tucci, it's Gucci. If Tucci directs, varies from Prada to nada.

As an aside, his memoir ‘Taste’ is an excellent read.
