One of the highlights of Season 3 of Selling Sunset on Netflix was Christine Quinn's gothic winter wonderland wedding to Christian Richard. The couple's unforgettable nuptials featured snow falling from the ceiling, black swans, and a wedding cake dripping in blood. And while Quinn is somewhat of an open book, her new husband appears to be much more lowkey.

Here's everything you need to know about Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn's husband, Christian Richard.

Christian Richard is a retired tech entrepreneur.

Selling Sunset viewers will be well aware of Richard's status as a retiree, even though he's only 41. In an interview with Women's Health, Quinn said of her husband, "He attended MIT and specializes in engineering of all types including software platforms."

She also revealed that he helped create one of the first online food delivery businesses, which contributed to the immense wealth he's accumulated. In fact, Global Property and Asset Management, Inc. revealed that Richard "is the former CEO of Boston-based Foodler, a food delivery startup that sold to competitor GrubHub in 2017."

They live in Christine Quinn's dream home.

Speaking to Women's Health, Quinn explained, "The house he ended up purchasing was actually my dream home before I even met Christian." She continued, "I remember prior to meeting him, I would sit in that open house every Sunday and picture myself living there, getting coffee with my husband, and that manifestation came true—I now live in the house that I envisioned myself in with my husband."

Not only did Richard purchase his future wife's dream home, but he bought the stunning property from Hugh Hefner's widow, Crystal Hefner. As noted by ELLE, when Global Property and Asset Management, Inc. reported on the sale in January 2019, it was revealed that a Christian Dumontet, not a Christian Richard, purchased the house for $5 million. It would seem that Quinn's husband goes by a different name when he appears on Netflix.

He didn't dream of reality TV stardom.

Unlike his wife who seems to be a natural reality TV star, Richard initially wasn't keen to join the show. As Quinn told Women's Health, "Being on the show for him—he does his best, bless his heart ... But he’s definitely really, really shy on camera."

Despite being camera shy, Richard joined the show in Season 2, and even allowed his wedding to Quinn to be shown in Season 3. Quinn explained to Refinery29, "I asked him, 'Do you want to be on [Selling Sunset]?' He said, 'Oh my gosh, this is so not me.'" However, Richard eventually changed his mind. As Quinn explained, he "decided to do it for me," but "[filming] is a really awkward thing. It’s not organic in any way. It’s not reality in any way."

Christian and Christine married within a year of meeting one another.

Richard and Quinn's romance was something of a whirlwind, with the couple saying "I do" less than a year after their first date. During a toast at their engagement party, per ELLE, Richard said, "Christine, I met you in Beverly Hills not even a year ago, and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with you."

"We had instant banter which is really special, you don’t get that too often," he revealed. "I pursued her, and she’s a tough catch. But here we are now, she’s amazing, complements me perfectly, and we’re building a life together."

They were introduced by a mutual friend.

During an appearance on the Dear Media podcast, Not Skinny But Not Fat, Quinn told host Amanda Hirsch, "I met [Christian Richard] through a girlfriend of mine. She went on a date with him and she just wasn't into it. And she was like, 'Hey, I went on a date with this guy and just like, not feeling it, but I do know that he is looking for a house.'" Of course, real estate mogul Quinn was ready to help out.

"So I went on a date with him and, I was like, oh, I really ... like this guy," Quinn explained. "He's like different. He's funny. And then, you know, we started dating immediately and then when we were looking for houses, like we were looking for houses like for us, you know, so it really was like the perfect situation and I kind of manifested it."

It sounds as though Quinn was immediately smitten with Richard, and revealed on the podcast, "He's a genius. He's literally a genius."
