Chris Martin has revealed that he is keen to switch things up by using emojis as song titles on the next Coldplay album.

The frontman told Radio X (via NME) that “service providers” aren’t yet sold on the idea, but he’s hoping to use emojis to represent several of the band‘s upcoming tracks.

“We’re trying to have the first album with some tracks that have titles of just emojis,” Chris Martin said.

“But it’s proving tricky because of all the service providers, some say, ‘You can’t do that’. You literally have ten million songs in one box. Let us have a picture of an apple for a song or something like that.”

In other news, Coldplay are set to perform a concert via their official TikTok account next Monday, May 24th.

The band will play a short set live from London to support Red Nose Day USA, an annual campaign to end child poverty.

“We’d love for you to join us for our first-ever concert on TikTok on Monday, May the 24th, for Red Nose Day,” said Martin in a video message to fans.

“Red Nose Day does amazing things around the world to keep children safe, healthy, educated and empowered. We’re really happy to be able to support their work with this performance,” he added in an official statement.

Meanwhile, the band have yet to officially confirm details of their new album, but a source told The Sun earlier this year suggested they are working on a record called Music Of The Spheres.
