Tarita Cheyenne Brando was a French fashion model who lived from 20 February 1970 to 16 April 1995. She was the child of Marlon Brando, a famous actor, and Tarita Teriipaia, a French Polynesian actress he met while filming Mutiny on the Bounty in 1962.
At her mother’s home in Puna’auia, Tahiti, on April 16, 1995, Cheyenne hanged herself. Her father and her half-brother Christian were unable to go to Tahiti for her funeral. She was interred in the Drollet family crypt in the Catholic Uranie Cemetery in Papeete.
