The last two links wouldn't work because they are meant for those departing from China. The first one should work. Did you try wih a different computer or browser?

Worse come to worse, just go to Heathrow early and check in there.

The 'contact them' advice was shrift but sensible! (And useful to know that the first link is the one I needed too).

I just rang the UK number, but it told me to ring the European number. Which I did, and was on hold for a short while, but eventually got through to a customer advisor who was very helpful indeed.

She knew about the 'Internal Server Error' issue, and advised that this was a known error with the online check-in that won't be resolved before 18th March at the earliest, and said airport check-in is the way to go. (A bit daft that this isn't advised on the site but at least I know now.) She was very helpful in relation to checking my flight, passing on further info about the connection procedure etc - no complaints about that area of the service!

So at least I know now... and perhaps this may come in useful to anyone else who is trying to check in online!

Air China online check in never worked for me in the past few years, I doubt it will be fixed by 3/18. In short, they don't do online check in, which is really not relevant anyway. If you have luggage and if it is int'l, you have to check in in person anyway, so what's online cgevknin for?

If you want seat assignment, it can be done by calling Air China, did that 2 weeks ago.

Air China online check in, for international flights to China, worked for me in January and last November and also had no problem for a domestic flight with them in January.

Strangely enough, I just tried online check-in again, and it worked. It's slow and awkward, but it did work... the only issue is that it's only allowing check-in for the first leg of the journey (ie. London to Beijing). Oh well, I have my seat at least for the first part and I'll go to the desk in plenty of time as I was expecting to anyway.

There is no online check-in for international flights departing from China.

You need to check-inusing the UK site not the .com site . So use archina.co.uk.

I rang archina and they were very helpful.

Explorer is the best browser to use.

I am flying tomorrow 07 May 2017 early 7.25 am from VIE to BARCELONA with Air China.

Do I really need to be at the air port 90 minutes prior the flight? (according to web http://www.airchina.com.cn/en/service/check-in/international_cities.shtml)

That is way too early regarding it is a flight within Europe.

And I cannot check in online.
