Hello, I am having trouble figuring out whether if we need to take covid test before we fly to Japan. We are flying from United States, and all have vaccinated 4 times. I read that people frying from China will need to take covid pcr test regardless of the vaccination record.

Here is the question. We are flying from the states to Taiwan for 3 hours layover, and then flying to Japan. While I know that there is an issue whether to call Taiwan as part China or not, I wasn't sure if Taiwan is also subject to be tested. It would be fantastic if anyone can help me figuring this out.
