What travelers are saying
- LuckiestManonEarthUnion, KY117 contributionsWe stopped at Pinney’s Beach on Nevis as part of a Celebrity cruise excursion.
The beach and staff were very nice. Beach sand is a little different that the usual white beaches but it’s not rocky in the water (mostly shells and corral).
They have many restaurants and bars and stuff with change rooms and bathrooms.
A very pleasant visitWritten January 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very small crowd on Saturday afternoon but amazing people and the pastor was very welcoming. Next time I’m in Nevis, I will definitely go there again.Written July 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. dont go as a single woman if there are not many people there - it could be risky - the water is very hot but its therapeuticWritten November 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While it's incredibly cool to see the historic building still standing, there just isn't much to see. Some informative signs describing the life of Hamilton in a room, and that's about it. Information you could probably get online if you cared to do so.Written September 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very small museum but a wealth of information in one small space.
Very hot.
Nice little cafe in the grounds.Written June 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A lady offers you flannels to use to exfoliate your skin if you so wish to. The stream usually runs blue according to my family who visited in 2019. It looked too murky for me to try so gave it a miss. Nice to see though.Written October 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - katm799Dallas, TX56 contributionsI would travel with either a tour guide or with family. Very old and ancient. - OntarioTravel3Toronto, Canada898 contributionsStill standing from Colonial times, this is a beautiful stone structure alongside the memorial square/park of Charlestown. The library is on the 2nd floor and the court house on the ground.Written April 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - saronicZurich, Switzerland26,282 contributionsComing from Charlestown's port and then following the Main Street to the right one will soon come upon the only two squares of this small town. First the tiny Dr. Wallwyn Square, followed by the equally triangular, but a bit bigger Memorial Square. There are trees, benches and a short white marble obelisk, commemorating the soldiers from Nevis, that lost their lives in WW II.
At the square's southern end is a two storey building wih a clocktower on top, built from local volcanic stone at the end of the 19th century. It is the Courthouse and Library of the island.Written April 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The good news is that there seems to be construction going on there. You can tell it once was stately.Written February 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Elizabeth GGodalming, UK61 contributionswandering around Charlestown we came across a small art gallery and wandered in. The gallery is very interesting with a variety of art forms on show. Most impressive for me was a huge piece using fabric and stitching by Deborah Tyrell. By chance Deborah was in the gallery and we were able to have a chat about her work which is truly wonderful. I would have loved to have made her a rich lady by buying several pieces, but alas my favourite pieces were just out of my price range.Written February 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
