Jenna Dewan seeks ‘fair resolution of community assets’

Dewan’s spokesperson reportedly said, “Jenna is just looking for a fair resolution of community assets of the marriage, under California State Law. Jenna wants to reach a final determination and close this chapter of her life as soon as possible.”

They noted that the duo has “been trying to settle for over five years and have gone to many settlement conferences during that time.”

Jenna Dewan accused of ‘stalling negotiations’

However, a spokesperson for the 43-year-old actor has attributed the delay in the process to the actress.

They reportedly alleged that Dewan’s “actions and claims continuously contradict themselves.”

“She says she wants a fair settlement but is ignoring all post-separation work Channing and his partners have done to enhance Magic Mike. She keeps stalling negotiations, but says she wants to resolve this,” they asserted.

On the contrary, another source informed People that the 'Step Up' actress has "definitely moved on; she wants all avenues to close and for her divorce to be concluded."

They added, “She’s not dragging this on because she wants to or because she’s greedy.”

Channing Tatum denies any wrongdoing

Following a previous report quoting Tatum's legal team, this development came to light, asserting that the actor "has devoted substantial efforts since their separation to the development of the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities, which [Tatum] contends establishes his separate property interest in them."

“The Court will need to allocate the community interest and [Tatum’s] separate property interest in the intellectual property and related entities in consideration of [Tatum’s] post-separation efforts,” they noted.

The official documents also insisted, “[Tatum] has never denied [Dewan] of her share of the community assets or income. [Dewan] has been involved in all aspects of community investments, opportunities, and transactions.”

“All transactions were conducted at arm's length; [Dewan] was represented by legal counsel, signed gift tax returns, and actively participated in transactions for the benefit of the community and their daughter. The evidence will demonstrate that [Tatum] has never taken actions to harm the community or [Dewan],” the papers added.
