Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- MrsD2 contributionsYesterday my little girl turned 7 and was lucky enough to have the first ‘Zoo Explorer’ party since before Covid!
We absolutely loved it - from initial booking to leaving the party everything was fantastic. The staff went over and above to make sure Ivy had a fantastic day.
Our party host Georgia was so lovely with the children, lots of dance games, playing their music requests and helping with their food.
Chase was on hand for any queries we had and helping to us be where we needed. The children loved the bug handling and he was so patient with them all!
Another shout out to Christian for leading the animal experience when it came to giraffe feeding - wow! The kids loved it and they certainly tested Christian’s knowledge with all their questions!
We spent the whole day at the zoo and would really recommend this type of party.
Invitations and party bags also included and a hot meal of their choice for every child - all lovely, fresh food.
Thank you for making a day we’ll all remember 🥰Written 28 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jan SNorth West21 contributionsFabulous afternoon in the iconic tower ballroom. Many thanks to the resident organists for their brilliant music. A good mix of freestyle and sequence dancing. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to the Tower Ballroom for the residents tickets. Very much appreciated that you are doing so much for local people. We will be back.Written 29 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stephen T1 contributionI enjoyed the park, the rides are good and we turned up at a good time, so no long queues. The Big Dipper is clearly showing its age and make for a very uncomfortable experience but its still great fun. Could perhaps do with a few more rides for the less adventurous.
The only problem I had was the online booking process which was stupidly invasive and completely unnecessary. After typing in every piece of information possible to buy the tickets, I had to give all that again for every person visiting including a photo.
However, upon phoning the beach it seems you only really need to bring the purchase code along with you. The rest is just extra data collection.Written 2 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vicki, James, Jessie & BillyLincoln, UK4 contributionsSo after visiting Gruffalo last month (which is next door)
We decided next time we were up this way we would visit sea life.
We came on a day where there seemed to be some schools walking round but it didn’t hinder our visit.
We also weren’t aware that JJ from Coco Melon was here this week - that really made our daughter excited when she saw him walking round the centre.
We got to the first part and met Kyle, he was lovely and told my daughter she could touch things, which after some encouragement from dad she did.
Kyle was telling her about facts of starfish and what a purse is, we loved that.
We walked round the rest of the attraction, the tunnel is amazing!
The green eel is huge and looks prehistoric!!
The part with the UV lights had our 2yr old happy - he didn’t want to move!
I don’t like bugs so I pretty much ran through there but my partner says it was brilliant.
I love that there is info boards next to everything so even if staff aren’t around then you can have your questions answered.
We got to the big window and met Colette who did a talk. She had cleared catered this talk to the school that was in (who looked about 5/6 yrs old)
She got them and my daughter involved, and the facts like the rays nose, the beautiful turtles age and the shark brain have stuck with our daughter (who’s 4) because she interacted and kids seems to remember thing when they are involved.
This lady must have children because she knows how to speak to them like a motherly figure, she gave out stickers and even answered really silly questions with a smile!
The cafe seems the same as gruffalo but without cake (insert sad face)
JJ and his friend were amazing! JJ came and interacted with us and our daughter. She was happy to speak to him but didn’t want to get too close. He is pretty big!!
We loved our visit.
Thank you sea life, your staff are amazing l, your animals are amazing and we will definitely be back!!Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The changing rooms were very clean and we really like the wristband locker system, it's easy to use and more comfortable to wear the bands than a key. Although we went during half term there were plenty of stalls and lockers available for us to use, and staff members on hand to help if needed.
The water park itself was quite busy, despite the 3 hour time limit given, however we found that we could still enjoy ourselves as we weren't going on any of the big slides due to having a small child.
We were impressed with how many lifeguards there were, and also the water ambassadors in the pool to keep everyone safe.
Overall we had a great time, it was busy but so is everything else in Blackpool during half term. We recently visited another water park in the UK (at a well known theme park) and we would say the facilities at the sandcastle are equal if not slightly better.
Thanks team!Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a very special place for locals, visitors and, mostly, for the birds and wildlife for whom it is home.
Please respect the wildlife, take bird seed, duck or goose food to feed to them because bread has little nutritional value.
Also, keep dogs on leads anywhere near water or face a hefty fine and please don't leave litter anywhere but in a bin.
Enjoy the park (there a gigs in the bandstand every Sunday from May to September), boat hire at weekends and during school holidays, and just so you know public toilets cost 40p.
The art deco cafe is always worth a visit.
The visitor centre, which is run by Friends of Stanley Park, is open most days and there is usually an exhibition to see plus an intersting history corner.Written 23 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
