Who Is Roger Waters?

Roger Waters is a British singer, songwriter, and co-founder of progressive rock band, Pink Floyd.

Born on September 6, 1943, Waters had been the bassist since the passing of Syd Barrett. He later served as their lyricist, co-lead vocalist and conceptual leader until he left in 1983.

The Pink Floyd band had international acclaim credited to their albums The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), The Wall (1979), and The Final Cut (1983).

They were one of the most successful musical bands in the 80s.

Waters later launched his solo career, and went on to release studio albums The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking (1984), Radio K.A.O.S. (1987), Amused to Death (1992), and Is This the Life We Really Want? (2017).

In 1996, Wayers was inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2005, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame.
