Our Mission

We are contemplative women sharing in the charism of Saints Francis and Clare and our foundress, Marie de St. Claire Bouillevaux. We form a sisterhood centered in Eucharist and are committed to radical Gospel living according to Sts. Francis and Clare. Together we embrace a poor, humble lifestyle in total dependence upon God.

General Information

MASS TIMES—The monastery offers the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass every day, seven days a week INCLUDING SUNDAYS (with NO Saturday evening Mass to count for Sunday’s obligation) at 9 AM. This includes Sunday Mass and there is no Saturday vigil Mass.

PUBLIC ADORATION TIMES—Our monastery is open to the public for private adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM every day, seven days a week. Everyone is welcome to join us in our adoration of our Lord Jesus Christ Who is always waiting for someone to come and love Him hidden in the Blessed Sacrament in whatever time you have to offer Him. It is time never wasted and always well spent. You can be assured that you will always be richly rewarded.

GIFT SHOP—Stop into our office to see what items we have available with some of them being hand crafted by the Sisters. We currently do not sell our gift shop items online but only in person. You can browse our items Monday - Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

We would like to thank you and bless you with all our hearts for all the support that has been shown us through the purchases made from our Amazon wish lists as this has helped us out immensely and continues to help us out. We are truly blessed by all of you to receive these so we can continue our mission of adoring Him throughout the days of this trying time in our history. Unfortunately these are not tax-deductible. These lists are updated as soon as something is brought up that is needed or something has been bought for us so what is there is our most current needs. UPDATED—the Sister in charge of the Amazon list (and this website and anything technologically related) really loves it when funny comments are sent back to her. It really brightens her day. :-)

Upcoming Events

Annual Gala with Fr. Leo Patalinghug

As details have been finalized, we are pleased to invite you all (and anyone else who you invite as well) to this year's Gala. It will be on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at La Pizzaria. It will start with Mass at 10:30 followed by the brunch and auction (both live and online/silent) with a cooking demonstration by Fr. Leo Patalinghug. Tickets are $75 a person but there are different levels that you can do as well. You can purchase tickets at https://one.bidpal.net/2024pcpacanton or by calling 330-996-4090. We thank you all in advance for your support as the money goes to help our monastery especially in keeping up our buildings and possibly adding more to our infirmary wing.
Any spreading of the word would be greatly appreciated as we know that this is a little over a month away.

Rosary Walk —Please help us create our Rosary Walk one brick at a time. Click on this link to go to the brick ordering website to order your brick today! If you click here you can download a form to print off, fill out, and either bring to us or mail it in with your payment. Thank you for those who have already bought the over 350 bricks we have currently. We still have a ways to go!! NOTICE: Please be aware that we have only just started to place the bricks outside in our walk. We have had to wait until we got enough bricks and now we are combatting the weather to cooperate with our volunteer who is making the walk on his own time. We appreciate your patience as we know this has taken longer than anyone anticipated.

Chicken Eggs

As our Sisters have been perfecting their “chickherding” skills (we don’t have sheep or goats anymore so we can’t be shepherds) and God has been blessing them abundantly, we have an excess of chicken eggs. We are selling dozens of our chicken eggs at $4/dozen. We are only selling our extra so we still have some eggs for the Sisters so we can enjoy their hard work too (and the hens’ work too). This means we may or may not always have eggs available for sale.

Bread and Soup Sales

We will be selling our breads and soups only at 2 major sales this year (2024): one in September and one in November. The September Sale will be September 26-28, 2024 and the November Sale will be November 21-23, 2024. Please see posts especially on our Facebook page when the time comes closer to them. After the November Sale we usually have **frozen QUARTS** only of soup available throughout the winter up until our Agnus Dei (Easter) Bread sale, meaning it will run from Monday, November 25, 2024 through whenever we decide Easter Bread will be (TBD). Any left over pints and breads from our November sale we will also sell until they run out. We will not be doing online ordering for this winter long sale but you may call ahead to make sure we have the soups you want at 330-492-1171 or just drop in the office. You can pick yours up Monday through Friday 10 AM through 4 PM. The pricing will also be TBD. If we have run out of a certain kind, we will be making it when the Sisters’ schedule next allows it.

5th Annual Nun Run 5K Run/Walk

We recently had another successful Nun Run on October 21, 2023. Our 5th Annual Nun Run will be on Saturday October 19, 2024. Please see the above Nun Runs tab, visit scmnunrun.org, or our Facebook and Instagram posts for more details. If more details come, the Sister in charge will do her best to post them in all the spots as soon as possible. Pepperoni Roll Sales

Our generous monastery benefactor is at it again making his famous from scratch pepperoni rolls in order to raise money to repair our St. Francis retreat house. The dates for 2024 are February 17 (GONE AND DONE), April 20, June 15, and July 20. Yes there are only 4 next year so please make sure you mark the dates! They are all one day sales only on Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Preordering online and via our phone will start approximately 3-4 weeks ahead of the sale date. **Please see our Pepperoni Rolls page for all the dates, prices, and info**.
