Neymar’s presence in Florida stirs up Inter Miami speculation

The Brazilian star continues to enjoy his free time in Miami and this Thursday he was the guest of honor for the Miami Marlins for the 2024 MLB Opening Day.

Neymar’s presence in Florida is causing quite a stir as rumours of a move to Inter Miami start to bubble as the Brazilian continues to appear at high profile sporting events taking place in South Florida.

Neymar was seen alongside Jimmy Butler at the Miami Open during Carlos Alcaraz and Gael Mantis’ game at the Masters 1000 and the current Al-Hilal striker also made an appearance during the recent NBA game between the Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors.

His presence in Miami has done nothing to quell rumours of a possible MSN (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) reunion at the MLS side as the Brazilian striker continues to recover from a torn ACL that has seen him sidelined for most of the current season with the injury also set to see Neymar miss the forthcoming Copa América with Brazil with the tournament set to kick off in June.

In the midst of all this speculation, Neymar continues to enjoy his time in Miami and on Thursday he was the guest of honor at the MLB game between the Miami Marlins and the Pittsburgh Pirates with the Brazilian in charge of throwing the first pitch to start the season for the Marlins. In addition, the Brazilian star received a jersey bearing his name and his characteristic number 10.

MSN reunion may happen (at least provisionally)

Whilst we may not get to see a Mess-Suarez-Neymar reunion on the pitch in the short term, with Neymar’s stay in Miami and both Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi both are preparing for next weekend’s MLS duel against NYCFC we may get to see the three together at some point over the weekend.

Saturday night sees the Herons face NYCFC in the latest round of games in the new 2024 MLS season with Neymar widely expected to watch on from Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
