Phoebe Waller-Bridge is accompanied by her pet pooch as she and Anya Taylor-Joy head home after supporting pal Cara Delevingne at Cabaret's gala night in the Kit Kat Club

Phoebe Waller-Bridge was accompanied by her pet pooch as she joined a slew of stars heading home after a glitzy gala night for Cara Delevingne's cabaret show.

The Fleabag star, 38, cut a chic figure in a checked trouser suit as she and Anya Taylor-Joy jumped into a waiting car.

After attending the show at The Kit Kat Club, Phoebe and Anya were in high spirits as they cooed over the dog after watching Cara's performance.

The Indiana Jones star was seen entering, and exiting, the venue during the gala night, but skipped the pre-show photocall.

Cara took over the character after Rebecca Lucy Taylor, aka Self Esteem, finished her run with the Kander and Ebb musical - which centres around Berlin's underground club scene between the Jazz Age and the rise of Nazi Germany.

While Cara has already carved out a name for herself in the acting world having appeared in films such as Anna Karenina, Paper Towns, Suicide Squad and Tulip Fever, Cabaret marks her West End debut.

Playing Sally Bowles – made famous by Liza Minnelli in the 1972 film version - Cara is following in the footsteps of Oscar-nominated Jessie Buckley who previously played the role.

She appears alongside Olivier award-winning Luke Treadaway - who is starring as The Emcee in the iconic play.

It was announced last month that Cara was set to take the role as she said at the time: 'there are no words to explain her excitement'.

The duo will be performing for three whole months from March 11 right up until June 1 2024.

Cara and Luke have taken over from Jake Shears and Rebecca Lucy, who finished their run on the March 9.

Speaking about her exciting new stint, Cara said: 'There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role.

'I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End.

Phoebe sparked speculation that she was engaged to filmmaker and playwright Martin McDonagh

'I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production.'

Luke added: 'I can’t wait to become a member of the Kit Kat Club and join this extraordinary production. It’s a huge thrill to be asked to take this on and I’m very excited to get started.'

Last year, Phoebe sparked speculation that she was engaged to filmmaker and playwright Martin McDonagh.

The Emmy winner, ho has been dating Oscar winning McDonagh, 53, since 2017, sparked rumours that they are set to wed by wearing an enormous diamond ring on her engagement finger at her brother’s wedding in September.

And the star certainly didn’t seem to be keeping a low profile in a bright pink Etro suit, costing £1,945, a matching £400 waistcoat and a black necktie.

She was joined by her filmmaker other half as her brother Jasper Waller-Bridge married Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery at St Nicholas’ Church in Chiswick, West London.
