Change the name on a reservation
If you don't have an OpenTable account, it's not possible to change the name on a reservation without canceling and rebooking it.If you have an OpenTable account, the only way to change the name on your reservation is to change the name associated with your OpenTable account. Cancel or modify a reservation from your confirmation email
The confirmation email that's sent shortly after you book a reservation includes buttons to cancel or modify it. Look for an email with the subject line: Your Reservation Confirmation for [Restaurant Name].
Note: Many restaurants have implemented a late cancellation policy, which will be outlined on their OpenTable profile and in your reservation confirmation email. If you have questions, please contact the restaurant directly to confirm their policies so you aren’t marked as a no-show.

Cancel or modify a reservation from your OpenTable account

Sign in to OpenTable.

Find your upcoming reservations.

Website: Click the calendar icon in the top right corner or navigate to your profile.

iOS app: Tap the Reservations tab or navigate to your profile.
Android app: Tap the History tab

These sections will display your Upcoming Reservations and present options to Modify or Cancel individual reservations.

If you don’t see your reservation or the option to cancel, contact the restaurant directly. It’s possible the reservation was made with another OpenTable account or there is another issue, but the restaurant is best positioned to help.

How can I contact a restaurant about my reservation?
You may be able to message a restaurant directly when viewing a past or upcoming reservation in your OpenTable account. Learn more in the article: Send and receive direct messages with restaurants
Note: If a restaurant messages you about a past or upcoming reservation, you will receive an app notification, an email, and potentially an SMS message with a link to view and reply to it.
If you can’t message a restaurant
You can view a restaurant’s contact information from their profile on OpenTable. Most restaurants list their phone number, email address, or website in their profile.
