@dsm1067 this isn't a bug report, more information is required.
Do you mean -

  • you cant download a 10Mb torrent (size),
  • or cant download 10 Million torrents (quantity/OS restriction),
  • or cant download a torrent containing 10 Million files (complexity)?

Each one would have a different answer.

Can you enlarge the download limit of 10.0MiB?

@luosonghao It seems you are trying to open an .iso file, not a .torrent file. There is nothing wrong with qBittorrent in this case.

@dsm1067 @houlairen-1
Can you link specific examples of .torrent files that are actually bigger than 10 MiB? If it is pirated or otherwise illegal content then don't link directly please.

Side note: if you are creating a torrent and want to make it smaller in size, just increase the piece size.

By the way, I just tried adding a ~54 MiB .torrent file and it worked just fine on the latest version (4.1.5).

Note that for torrents that contain other torrents, you might want to enable the following option:
Tools -> Preferences -> Downloads -> "Enable recursive download dialog"

Link for the torrent that I tested (provided in this issue report):

It seems that this issue was fixed by #8455, which has made its way to official releases since version 4.1.0, released on Friday May 5th 2018.

@thalieht this can be closed, in light of my comments here.

Hmm not yet, the .torrent limit when loading a file is 100 MB now but when qBt is downloading the file e.g from search engine, it's still 10 MB. glassez suggested that it should be raised to 100 MB as well, in some other issue. I'll make a PR and see if it gets accepted.

Nice, thanks for the PR. I did not know about the search engine limitation.

What I mean is not torrent files but other files (eg. zip, iso ...) from HTTP protocol.
I have a question whether Qbittorrent is only able to download files via torrent link?

Well, yeah, qBittorrent is a Bittorrent client, not a generic download manager.
