Cameron Diaz says motherhood has 'been heaven,' talks quarantine with daughter Raddix

Cameron Diaz is dishing on being a new mom amid the coronavirus pandemic.

During a virtual appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" this week, the former actress, 47, said that quarantine with new daughter Raddix has "been heaven."

"Literally every single day, there's just leaps and bounds ... and she's not the same baby that she was yesterday," Diaz said. "Yesterday is literally gone, and today is a new day, and tomorrow will be a new day that she's a completely different baby."

She continued, "It's so gratifying to actually get to see that growth and to be a part of it, and to help let her be her."

She added that Raddix is "the best thing that ever happened" to her and husband Benji Madden.

"We're just so happy," she said.

Cameron Diaz walks with her husband Benji Madden as they attend the Los Angeles Lakers v. Washington Wizards NBA game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif on Jan. 27, 2015. Diaz and Madden were married Jan. 5, 2015.

Diaz also revealed what they've been doing to stay entertained while in quarantine.

"We have 'Baby Shark' on rotation. We have 'Elmo's Song.' We have Sesame Street. It's crazy. We're jamming out over here, and she loves it!" Diaz said. "When we go on car drives, Benj will put on some Afro-Cuban music, and she is in her car seat and her little legs are kicking. I'm like, 'Yeah, that's my girl!'"

In February, the "Good Charlotte" musician, 40, took to Instagram to express how thankful he is for his wife and their baby girl.

"My Wife and Daughter fill me up with so much gratitude," he captioned a portrait of red roses. "Everyday, I feel so lucky. Just wanted to say it out loud!!! Much Love & Best Wishes."

Madden and Diaz announced the birth of their daughter in January.

"Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden," Diaz wrote in her Instagram post. "She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family."
