CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS
The USA International Cameron Carter-Vickers joined the Hoops on a permanent basis from Tottenham Hotspur in June 2022 following a successful season long-loan at Paradise.
Since joining Celtic, the central defender has been one of the most influential members of the squad, playing a key role in the team’s five domestic trophy wins - the SPFL Championship and the Scottish League Cup twice, as well as the Scottish Cup in 22/23. The level of Carter-Vickers performances has been highlighted with selections for the PFA Scotland Team of the Year in both his full seasons at the club - 2021/22 & 2022/23.
He has scored some vital goals for the club including the winner in a 2–1 win against Rangers in April 2022 which helped move Celtic six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
The central defender joined Tottenham Hotspur's youth academy aged 11 years old, before impressing through the ranks and making his senior level debut during the 2016/17 season in cup competitions under then Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
In the summer of 2017, Carter-Vickers signed on loan for Sheffield United, spending half a season at the newly promoted Championship side - scoring on his debut, the only goal in a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers.
In January, 2018, the centre-back spent six months on loan at Ipswich Town, before then spending further season-long loans at Swansea City (2018/19), Stoke City (August 2019 to January 2020), and Luton Town (January 2020 - August 2020).
Carter-Vickers spent the 2020/21 season on loan at AFC Bournemouth, before featuring once for Tottenham in a UEFA European Conference match at the start of the 2022 season and then signing on a season-long loan in August 2021 at Paradise.

Cameron Carter-Vickers holds English and American dual citizenship and chose to represent the latter from a young age. After featuring regularly for the USA's Under-18s, Under-20s and Under-23s, the centre-back made his senior level international debut on November 14, 2017 at the age of 19.
He represented the USA at the 2022 World Cup, helping the team keep a clean sheet against Iran in a 1-0 victory.
On the squad he said, “We are a very focused group, and we’re always trying to improve so we look forward to every game we play and we just want to go out there and perform the best we can.”
