Personally, I think Fresno State is good if you are a local looking to get through college with little to no debt. Lots of campus life and greek life. Academics are okay. A con is it can be difficult to get the classes you need at the times you want. Online classes are sparsely offered and usually fill up fast. Lots of food on campus and at campus point. You also get a free FAX bus pass with your student ID card. Professors range from mediocre to great. They give a lot of financial aid and parking isn't too expensive which is great! Fresno can get hot and boring though.
My experience at CSUF overall is a 7/10. The campus life is very good. There are a diverse amount of people there. Food court is pretty substantial. The library however is my favorite building. There are different layers to the library and I find myself to be on task when I lock myself in a room to study. Professors are really nice from my experience but I also use the website “RateMyProfessor” to get student opinions who have previously taken their course. I like college at CSUF. I think I should involve myself in more extracurricular activities and maybe my rating would be a bit higher!
I loved it! The students were interactive with each other, there was some flexibility on being able to take night and online classes. I enjoyed it working as a full time employee. The only downside was limited parking and all the construction.
