California State University - Dominguez Hills Reviews
Rating 3.76 out of 5 1,958 reviews
It is a small campus, which gives it its charm, and it is easier to take classes back to back because it doesn't take too much effort to walk across campus. It is an amazing campus that offers a variety of clubs and resources, however, they could do better on extending those resources; for example the inconsistency of hours in the coffee shops on campus or the fact that the women's resource office is separate from any of the other clubs. They are trying to improve the campus by expanding, however the older and established builds shouldn't be overlooked in maintenance due to the focus on the newer buildings.
Although the campus is smaller than most, there is a strong sense of community and there are many resource centers. It is incredibly easy to access support in different forms. Some offices can be difficult to find but it’s very easy to find guidance. The newest library building (South Building) is incredible and perfect for studying. There aren’t any immediate criticisms that come to mind, besides better maps. The maps that can be found around campus are hard to read and understand. Most are unclear about where you are and what direction to face in order to find the right building. There aren’t enough diverse food options. Most options are fast food and there are very few healthier options. There aren’t any recreational activities available in between classes that are free of charge. There are lounging areas to sit by yourself or with friends in most buildings with inside and outside seating. The only other option is to pay 20 USD to play pool table for 30 minutes.
So many opportunities for anyone in any type of situations, very flexible and best of all very open if you are able to feel comfortable. Try to be open minded and speak up and make connections!
