Consider your choice of CCA carefully. Despite promoting values like intellectual curiosity and collaboration, individual teaching prevails, especially in film. Suppression of discussion on the Israel-Palestine conflict affects free speech due to a donor's influence. CCA lacks essential career information, leaving out logistical, safety, and legal aspects. While some professors are exceptional, their pay is insufficient, with some relying on food stamps. The school's scholarship approach, emphasizing international students (who pay full tuition) is paying for "diversity" since most of national students are in school with multitude of scholarships.
As a senior, I dedicated myself to improving the CCA environment. Despite my attempts, it's defeating to realize that it will not evolve or grow. While I cherish the people, if given a second chance, I won't go. My hope was to contribute to a school to be proud of, but the limitations I encountered made me reconsider my choice.

The area that the school is in is in a safe area in San Francisco, Its also near areas that college students can destress on the weekend. Their resources here provide success for their students and most of their professors are current working artists.
In the first year, they were very welcome and they are really open to helping out with anything you need. Some professors are a bit stingy with work but most of all they are pretty great. Unfortunately they only offer art courses so if you want to learn the business side of things you have look somewhere else.
