In the United States, Cadillac CT4 deliveries totaled 2,180 units in Q4 2022, an increase of about 56 percent compared to 1,396 units sold in Q4 2021.During the complete 2022 calendar year, CT4 sales increased about 28 percent to 9,271 units.

In Canada, Cadillac CT4 deliveries totaled 128 units in Q4 2022, an increase of about 45 percent compared to 88 units sold in Q4 2021.During the complete 2022 calendar year, CT4 sales decreased about 16 percent to 612 units.

Cadillac CT4 sales during the fourth quarter of 2022 dropped the small luxury sedan to fifth place in its segment when ranked by sales volume, down from its third-place showing in the last quarter. The all-new Acura Integra remained in first place with 6,989 deliveries, continuing to grow since it arrived on the scene. The Mercedes-Benz CLA moved up to second with a 124 percent bump in sales to 3,456 units. The all-new Audi A3 slipped to third with a 179 percent jump to 2,750 deliveries as sales continue to grow year-over-year after the German model missed a sales year due to its generational change-over. The BMW 2 Series, made up of the two-door Coupe and four-door Gran Coupé, moved up to fourth with a 24 percent slip to 2,370 units. The CT4 fell to fifth despite a 56 percent bump to 2,180 units. The other entry from Mercedes-Benz, the A-Class, took sixth with a 68 percent drop in sales to 388 units as the A-Class has been dropped after the 2022 model year. The Acura ILX finished out the list with no deliveries since the model was replaced by the aforementioned Integra.

From a segment share standpoint, the CT4 posted a 12 percent share, down one percentage point. The Integra led with a solid 39 percent segment share, up 17 percentage points from the 22 percent held by the ILX a year ago. The CLA posted a 19 percent share, up four percentage points. The Audi A3 held a 15 percent share, up six percentage points, followed by the 2 Series with a 13 percent share, down a segment-worst 17 percentage points. The A-Class posted a two percent share, down ten percentage points.
The small luxury car segment (luxury C-segment) grew 72 percent to 18,133 units in Q4 2022, meaning CT4 sales underperformed compared to the segment average.

The two Mercedes-Benz entries in the segment held a combined 3,844 deliveries for a 21 percent segment share, keeping the German automaker solidly in second place.
The GM Authority Take
Cadillac CT4 sales slipped to fifth place during the fourth quarter of 2022, reversing an upward trend over the past year. The all-new Acura Integra is proving to be a strong new rival for the CT4, with nearly twice as many deliveries last quarter and over three times this quarter, taking the top spot in the segment since appearing at dealers. Mercedes-Benz has remained a strong rival as well.
Also, production issues have plagued Cadillac CT4. Specifically, the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan, where the CT4 is produced alongside the Cadillac CT5 and Chevy Camaro, saw idled production over the course of the past two years. These production disruptions resulted in low inventory at U.S. dealers, limiting sales. However, things are looking up as Cadillac inventory is at more than 60 days supply as of December 2022.
As a reminder, the CT4 family is offered in “regular” CT4 guise – available in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims – high-performance CT4-V dress, and ultra-high-performance CT4-V Blackwing clothing. The vehicle remains a highly compelling offering in the segment.
The 2023 Cadillac CT4 arrives with just a handful of changes and updates over the 2022 model, including getting the Driver Assist Package as standard as well as the addition of a Bronze Accent Package, which is also offered on the CT4-V. However, the 2023 CT4 loses the Diamond Sky Special Edition Package.
Notable changes for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing are the debut of new 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions. The three special editions are named after a U.S. race track, including the Watkins Glen IMSA Edition, the Sebring IMSA Edition, and the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition. Additionally, the 2023 CT4-V Blackwing gains the addition of a new vehicle wrap as standard. It will be offered as an alternative to the available enclosed shipping carrier option.
The Cadillac CT4 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, with the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine. It is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and connects to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. The turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B and GM 10-speed automatic transmission are optional on the Premium Luxury with 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, and standard on the CT4-V, rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. All these variants are available in both rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive configurations.
The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing runs the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The GM six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the 10-speed auto is optional – both exclusively feeding the rear wheels.
In December, Car and Driver named the CT4-V Blackwing to its 2023 10Best cars list.
Production of the 2023 Cadillac CT4 began at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan on July 18th, 2022. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2023 CT4 and for the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing.
The CT4 is set to receive a mid-cycle refresh, with production of the 2024 Cadillac CT4 scheduled for July 2023.

The CT4 is a good looking sedan, better than the CT5 in my IMO. All the car needs is the LT1 option (V8), I would buy one in a heartbeat. I have the base LT1 model Camaro and love it as my daily.
