The CBS Singles collection gathers together all of Paul Young's singles from 1982-1994, his most defining period. Presented across 19 facsimile replica CDs, and packaged in a beautiful box set. The box features 108 tracks, including every b-side and alternate mix released worldwide across each format (many of these tracks are available on CD for the first time). This includes all the singles from his debut, 'No Parlez', through to 1993's 'The Crossing'. Also available within the box is a DVD of promo videos. Available for the first time on DVD are 18 of Paul's videos from the period. The box comes with a 36 page book, including a note from Super Deluxe Edition Editor and fan Paul Sinclair.

Great collection of songs, some rare versions and hits

I bought this for my collection. I served in the US Air Force and spent 12 years in Germany and got into this artist while I was over there. Even though I did collect quite a few hits collections and individual albums over the years, it was nice to get this collections that provided a lot of various versions of big hits and other b-sides and rare material. AND the biggest bonus was the DVD with all the videos. And YES, they do play on American DVD players. I had the original VHS from the 80's which I copied to digital disc but this DVD filled out a lot more of the videos that the VHS did not have. Overall, I extremely pleased.

No Print In My Package

Be careful if you think you are going to receive a signed print. Mine did not have one and amazon's only solution to this was to return it for a full refund. No partial compensation option for no print. They should modify the description about it coming with a print. Some are getting one and some aren't. It's an expensive crap shoot.

After reading many negative reviews about people not receiving a signed print photo , i guess i was one of the lucky ones who did get one. But that is fairly insignificant in comparison to the content here. The real draw to this boxset is the music itself. All of PY's crucial single releases 1982-94 now compiled in individual cd singles. Excellent sound quality too. All the 7"/12" versions, b sides and rarities here at last. This is the definitive collection out there. If you don't have any of the previous reissues, just get this while there're still around in print.

Well for starters I preordered this months before release with the expectation of an exclusive signed print.....wasn't in the package or anywhere in sight!Amazon was of no help.....unwilling to let it go I contacted DEMON RECORDS directly via an email message and they were amazing and provided a signed print at no charge!they explained AMAZON dropped the ball and screwed up the mailing!!I love this boxset.....beautifully packaged!I recomend contacting DEMON RECORDS directly.....and I reccomend buying this amazing box set!!

Class collection in every respect

Great collection and well put together booklet. The videos play on US dvd players and the cd’s all sound great. This is worth every penny. I wish other artists would do a package this well.

Il box, come gli altri precedentemente pubblicati da Edsel (Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle e Stock Aitken & Waterman quest'ultimo fuori catalogo da un po' di tempo...) è completo di tutto; cio' che un collezionista e non collezionista (come nel mio caso) vorrebbe avere.
Curiosamente ascoltando in cuffia le stesse tracce contenute in "No Parlez" ed. 25 anniversario doppio Cd Sony Music uscito nel 2008" ho notato un incremento di volume; a mio avviso si tratta di due remasterizzazioni gestite o processate in maniera differente ma provenienti dallo stesso master iniziale. Nulla che possa pregiudicare il presente box, anzi tutt'altro.
Unico rammarico è che l'avrei preferito autografato, sarebbe stato un valore aggiunto, anche perché al momento della prenotazione non c'era nessuna sostanziale differenza di prezzo.... ma mi è arrivata la versione liscia.... pazienza, non sto a cambiarlo. Buon ascolto.

Lovely box set but like the previous 2 feedbacks,the signed print is not included inside the box or outside. Been told It's supposed to be in a separate envelope. I have triple checked the Amazon box/packaging ,no envelope was found.
It's possible for human error not to include this with the order. The review comment about being too blind not to see an A4 photograph was not call for in my opinion. Isn't it possible that some Amazon order didn't include the signed print because of human error or logistical problems? If you have received a signed print,good for you but don't put other customers down and yes it is possible to fold A4 print.

The box set is superb.

Missing the signed photo print

Great set, well put together, but despite having a sticker stating that it included a signed photo print, it did not come with the signed picture.
Despite what others are saying, my copy was packaged without the envelope with the photo in. I could not have mistaken it, add I still have the packaging and an A4 envelope will NOT fit in the cardboard sleeve. Just because you were lucky enough to receive your photo and I did not, does not automatically make me blind or stupid.

A shame the main issue with this box set is the signed print that came with it, it's a great looking box set, but unfortunately, print or no print, it doesn't do everything it says on the box.

On the cardboard sleeve for Tomb Of Memories, it say it's the single mix, but it isn't. It's the same old LP version as on all other Paul Young CDs.

What's the point in having a singles collection and not having the correct 45 versions?

Sadly, I doubt anyone will care much about this one, especially as it seems to have been a very limited edition which is all but sold out already.

Clearly a labour or love for all concerned. Docked one star because of a couple of music omissions/inconsistencies (I won't list them here), and because *someone* should have spellchecked the booklet... but on balance it's something of a treat for fans of Mr Young.

"If only <insert name of favourite artist here> could be afforded the same treatment."
