This is a pretty, sandy beach with inviting sand and sea and a backdrop of skyscrapers and mountains.

We were there until April, so out of season but it was still quite busy.

There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores on the walkway behind the beach and also an aquarium.

Great for photo opportunities. Beautiful colourful houses and postcard picture views.
It was in our list of things to do and was one our our favourite days even if we were tired of walking at the end.
Used buses to get there. Found the tourist centre. Bought a map and then did the tourist walk stamping our map at every stop.
There can be many people in the main parts but often when walking to get our next stamp you'd be alone and could appreciate the beauty by yourself for a few mins.
The main murals, gift shops and food stalls are quite near the start. But there are small art installations and shops further in.
    We spent 3-4hrs there.

This is a nice sandy beach which offers great views of the Busan suspension bridge.

The area is very clean and well kept and there is a wide array of eateries - licensed and unlicensed - behind the beach.

It was a great temple with museum facilities. I recommend anyone who come to busan to visit this place. It exhibits the richness of Bhuddist culture in busan

    Beautiful Temple and scenery
Quite a few steps but worth it
    It's free
Food stalls and small cafes and gift type shops outside and a couple inside by the main Temple
It is scenic and have some lovely views of the sea
It can get busy but we generally fine
We took public transport from Yeongdo Island, using Naver Maps to nativate. Was quite easy.
Had a really good first day in Busan here.

    Good day out.
Lots of walking and exercise but followed up with some cakes and drinks!

Lovely scenery in the Geo Park
    Great views from the observeratory.
The cafe is up the stairs and offers some tasty treats as well as a relaxing sit down observing the views.

The light house is a little further on. We only visited the outside as we couldn't handle any more stairs.

There is a little road train that you can get but it was closed ont he daybwe visited.

Outside the Geo Park is a road full of convenience stores, cafes and some touristy games etc.

In the Geo Park there were several toilets signposted along the route. Some of them were a bit off the main road/ path but there were some close to the start and observation deck too.

Bring layers. Even if it's chilly out - it's deceptive, as the walking warms you up and with layers, you can take them off as you go.

We did not visit the UN Memorial Cemetery in our last visit to Busan, but did so in this time round. The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea honours UN soldiers from 16 countries and UN aids from 5 countries that were killed in battle during the Korean War from 1950-1953, and is the only memorial cemetery in the world dedicated to UN soldiers.

Do watch the video at the Memorial Service Hall. The 12-minute documentary is informative and is available in English as well. As you enter the cemetery grounds, there is a poignant collage of the fallen soldiers. In the Symbolic Area, the National flags of the 22 Sending States, Republic of Korea and a UN flag fly everyday above the interred from the 11 nations. The names of 40,896 fallen UN forces are engraved on the Wall of Remembrance.

If you are interested in the Korean War, this together with the War Memorial of Korea (in Seoul), are places you mush visit if you are in Busan and Seoul.

We visited BIFF Square twice in December 2023, once during a weekday night and once on a weekend night. During the weekday night, the street stalls were more muted and some were not opened, as there was much less a crowd.

During the weekend, BIFF Square is packed so much so that there were traffic controllers manning the streets, ushering pedestrians off the roads when cars were approaching. There were many shopping options and many street stalls selling local snacks. We tried quite a few of these stalls and the food were generally nice. Definitely worth a visit.

We popped to see this fish market as people kept telling us about it and at one pont in our touring about we happened to be in the right local area to stop by.
Its only a short wondering through the fish market visit so you dont really need anymore than 3 minutes but it is worth seeing as its very different to a UK fish market. Manly because all of the fish and other aquatic animals are all alive and swimming about waiting for their fate. Its potentially disturbing in that regard but also amazing to see the various fish and squid and so forth that is available in the Korean territory. Definitely worth a brief stop I think

This was also part of our tour package through our cruise line. It's a nice easy walk, some of it uphill, through a nice park with plenty of trees to provide shade on a warm day. There is the APEC house halfway round, which we also visited on the tour. Some great views of the city and beach. Allow around an hour or so for a nice walk.

One of the larger markets, with cooked and fresh food, produce and household items in different sections/buildings.

Fascinating if you like markets of this nature as there is always something new to explore.

To get to Gukje, if you come via the metro, you can walk through BIFF Square and the food stalls there. Jagalchi fish market is also in the vicinity. Modern shops and cafes line the several streets before Gukje, providing an interesting contrast to the traditional market.

Not so touristy, with many locals doing their regular weekly shopping and the odd market-loving visitor walking through.
