What travelers are saying
- Rachel H1 contributionThe Hungarian parliament is an impressive building on the outside and spectacular inside. Well worth a visit. The online tickets sell out quickly in advance, however, if you turn up on the day at 8am there are a limited number to buy there and then. You may be given a slot later in the day, we were given 13:30 but it is well worth the wait.Written April 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - beth ann kHalstead, KS1,906 contributionsThis is a great area, and so pretty. It's a great place to just walk around and see the view and sights. - 1972nessieBalsall Common, UK326 contributionsWe decided we wanted to go to the top and it didn’t disappoint - getting the tickets to go up took some time to find out where from, but there is a small ticket office to the right of the basilica as you look to it. As it was Easter the inside of the basilica was closed until 1pm so we decided to visit that another day. We got the lift to the top and the views were the best around Budapest. We spent about 1/2 an hour up there, plus there were toilets if required. We visited inside the basilica a day later and were allowed inside free of charge as it was Easter ( not sure of the price or even if there is one) we also visited at night and got some lovely photos.Written April 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's an inspired monument in the memory of Jewish people who were savagely killed by nazis at that site.Written April 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NikJAscot, UK856 contributionsOver the past few years the bridge has been renovated, and as one of the many bridges on the Danube, that connects Buda and Pest, it is both impressive in both the day and evening times.
Visited on Easter Monday, when parts do the city have traffic restrictions allowed easier photos without the usual traffic flowing .

- 1972nessieBalsall Common, UK326 contributionsWe opted to do the short tour of the opera house which we all throughly enjoyed. The lady that took the tour was very informative and we found out a lot about the theatre when sat in the auditorium. We were allowed to have five minutes or so exploring the boxes and then at the end were treated to a 10 minute opera which was great. The total cost for the 4 of us worked out about £96.Written April 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,243 contributionsDuring most of my trips to Budapest, a city I have visited over 50 times, I make it a point to visit Castle Hill. I usually stay at the Budapest Hilton, shop at the local stores, savor the delicacies at Fisherman's Bastion and other restaurants on Castle Hill, and enjoy strolling around the streets to appreciate the ever-improving scenery, as buildings are renovated.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
