- According to the label Finders Keepers Records, a repress is on the way.
- I was only familiar with some of Ciani's more romantic releases that weren't really my cup of tea when this was released so I passed it up at the time. I just picked up one of the few remaining copies from the label and it's fantastic! It's obvious how intimately familiar she is with the instrument/patches. Really beautiful musical performances that few could pull off.
I thought I heard a few pops and clicks on my copy but as the back cover states this is a stereo room recording that picked up coughs from the audience as well as Suzanne switching and controlling the Buchla.
Essential - Can anybody publish this one in CD format, pretty please?
Edited 6 years agoThis is a poor pressing. Side 1 is fine and has no issues but Side 2 is riddled with very loud pops and crackles; this was evident even on first play.
The matrix details read "PIRATES PRESS" which would indicate that it was pressed at GZ Media, one of the less reputable pressing plants. My recommendation is to avoid anything pressed there - very poor quality.
