'He had nice pecs- I fancied him!' Rachel Ward reflects on her instant sexual attraction to husband Bryan Brown when they met on the set of The Thorn Birds in 1983
Iconic Australian actor Bryan Brown met his now-wife Rachel Ward in 1983, while they were playing on-screen love interests in raunchy mini-series The Thorn Birds.
And on Sunday's episode of Channel Seven's Sunday Night, the couple candidly spoke about their undeniable sexual chemistry on set.
'He had nice pecs. I mean, you know, it's pretty chemical, isn't it? It's pretty basic,' British-born actress Rachel, 61, said when asked what attracted her to Bryan, 72.
'There's not much thought goes into it. I fancied him. You know, that was about it,' she smiled knowingly.
When asked who made the first move, Rachel couldn't resist throwing her husband under the bus.
'He as slow as a wet week. Really took forever. I think I probably did,' she said.

Bryan insisted he was just being a 'cunning Aussie bloke' in taking his time and keeping her keen.
'And before they know it, they're hooked!' the legendary actor joked.
Bryan and Rachel were married just a few months after meeting on set and went on to have three children, Rose, Matilda and Joseph.

They recently became first-time grandparents, with daughter Matilda Brown welcoming a son, Zan Neathway Gooding, with partner Scott Gooding in May.
The actor is still adjusting to his new role, telling The Daily Telegraph: 'It is impossible not to be called grandpa, whether I like it or not'.
Speaking at the TV Week Logie Awards last month, he said: 'I was a bit worried about this grandfather business. Everyone said, 'you're going to love it and everything.' And I said, 'well let me work that out.''
He added: '[Zan] came a long and just like everyone else, I went goo goo and grabbed him and wanted to be with him all the time. Life's like that!'
Hot stuff! 'There's not much thought goes into it. I fancied him. You know, that was about it,' she admitted, becoming flustered. Pictured in The Thorn Birds in 1983
Ouch! When asked who made the first move, Rachel was scathing: 'He as slow as a wet week. Really took forever. I think I probably did.' Bryan and Rachel are pictured on Sunday Night
