Bruno Petković agreed to extend his contract with Dinamo last September, signing on to stay with the club until the summer of 2025.
A clause in the contract allows him to leave the club if an interested party pays Dinamo €2.5 million, with one option even less. Turkish media report that Trabzonspor might utilize this clause.
According to reports, Trabzonspor is in search of a striker, and Petković is again an option. The same was true when Nenad Bjelica was coaching the Turkish team. As Dinamo contends with Rijeka for the season's title, the third-placed team in the Turkish league is looking to strengthen its attack for European matches next season and to close the gap with Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.
Petković has scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 22 SuperSport HNL matches. In Dinamo's run in the Conference League, he added seven goals in seven matches, and he has carried his good form into the national team, scoring three goals in five matches since last September.
Before extending his contract with Dinamo, Petković was in lengthy negotiations. He had an offer from Trabzonspor but decided to stay with Dinamo, significantly influenced by Arijan Ademi's decision to return to the club.
As Index revealed, his contract includes two compensation clauses. The first, for two million euros, can be activated from June 1 to June 15, and the second, for 2.5 million euros, from June 16 to July 16. Until then, Petković was earning €550,000 at Dinamo, but his basic salary under the new contract is €800,000.
With bonuses, this could rise to as much as €1.2 million, making Petković the highest-paid player at Dinamo. The bonuses in his contract are very achievable, so Dinamo expects to pay one of its best players this season exactly €1.2 million.
