Hollywood conservatives could use some help. Material referring to living people must be handled carefully, because they are more open to legal threats. According to conservatives, the entertainment industry is dominated by liberals ("Hollywood values"). A secretive organization known as 'Friends of Abe'Wikipedia existed from 2004-2016: it was effectively destroyed by Trump.[2] Friends of Abe may have had as many as 1,500–1,800 members.[3][4] Known members included Gary Sinise, Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammer, Lionel Chetwynd and Jeremy Boreing.[3]

It is worth noting that the appeal to celebrity is a fallacy. Politics is well outside the realm of Hollywood expertise, and celebrities who become politicians can create some right royal cockups, often relying on the style over substance fallacy for polices because celebrity is all about style.

To illustrate the liberal dominance of Hollywood, here is a list of that endangered, oppressed, voiceless species — the showbiz conservative. (Those marked with '#' are deceased.)

It can be hard to ferret out what actors actually think: are they still acting when they're giving an interview? Do they actually believe in anything at all? To be fair, there are some brilliant people who are actors, but we're keeping it a secret just for their reputations.

According to an article in The Daily Beast, with few exceptions (former The Price Is Right host Bob Barker might be the most unusual because he is an animal rights activist and was also in a Republican political ad), nearly every game show host is a Republican.[226]
