Just off the traditional tourist trail. Great views of Brooklyn Bridge, East River and some lovely restaurants (and choices at Time Out) . Many great iconic views but the “tourists” have now found !

Brooklyn Heights is a neighbourhood in Brooklyn and possibly the inspiration for a drag queen?

I visited by getting the subway to Brooklyn and walking down to the riverside. There are signposts and google maps helped me along the way too.

The area is very clean and tidy and there are plenty of places to sit and admire the views of Manhattan, Governor's Island and the Brooklyn Bridge.

    Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience! Walking among the cherry blossoms was great. What's even better is that they offer a map for locating the cherry blossoms. The park features distinct sections that impressed me, including a rainforest area that requires a downstairs walk.

Just a tip: considering the vast area, it's advisable to plan your visit thoughtfully. Additionally, having a designated parking area adds to the convenience even though you have to pay. :)

We came specifically to see the exhibit Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. What an amazing collection. My only issue was that for the photography some of the lighting was placed in a way that it glared onto the picture, requiring you to look at it from an angle.
From that exhibit we went to explore the others floors. It has an array of objects, more than we could fully appreciate with the time we had. We’ll definitely plan a return visit.

This was a great museum for such a small price. I spent about one hour there total (I wasn’t interested in reading every single plaque but I do try and give attention to each part!). The best bit was when you take the stairs down to the old subway line and there’s a huge amount of old trains all decked out as they would have been and you can walk through and sit in each one. It felt like being on a movie it was so cool! Really good place to kill an hour or so and see a piece of the past.

It feels odd to write a review for what is still a working cemetery, but they do encourage visitors and photography, and it is an amazing place to visit. 478 acres, established in 1838, and full of incredible tombs and mausoleums, some of well-known people such as Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Morse, and others to people you have never heard of but often even more impressive in appearance. There is an excellent free map you can pick up at the entrance highlighting points of interest, including noteworthy monuments and also significant trees and other natural features, but there must be so many unknown stories attached to the people buried here. I spent 4 hours walking around here and hardly saw anyone else. If you want peace and history, this is the place to go.

Tour was insightful and the beer tasting was great. Joe was a really good tour guide and made everyone laugh. We had 4 beers to try during the tour all great and some of them exclusive to the tour. Deffo worth doing the tour.

After the tour we stayed in the tap room and got some dinner recommendations from one of the other bar staff members which turned out to be also really good. Can’t remember his name unfortunately but I do remember he was a Brazilian guy.

If you are in Manhattan during December definitely worth a visit. We got the subway over then had a 10 minute walk. The houses were amazing and so many were decorated. So glad we went!
Personally I wouldn't waste money booking a tour. We saw lots of them walking around but we enjoyed doing it at our own pace without being rushed.

Good experience, excellent organisation of the event by friendly and welcoming volunteers. Multi confessional speech focusing on the love, faith and people well being. Sound level a little bit too loud but amazing choir and singer with very high quality. Available in streaming if you like to preview but on-site experience with all people attending is a must.

Really enjoyed walking around this interesting and attractive part of New York. It focused on art and architecture and the way the area has changed. Good size group for the experience. Very cold but the tour guide kept us moving.
