Emma Stone To Star In Untitled Film Directed By Dave McCary

As if Emma Stone doesn’t have enough on her plate after winning her second Oscar for Poor Things, she’s added yet another to the schedule. Deadline reports Stone will star in an untitled movie at Universal to be directed by her husband Dave McCary.

Details on the plot are being kept a mystery for now, but the script will come from Young Rock producers Patrick Kang and Michael Levin. Who knows? Maybe it’ll mean they have the inside track bringing Dwayne Johnson into the cast? Probably not, but you never know.

Stone has a ton going on right now. She’ll be seen next in yet another Yorgos Lanthimos film, Kinds of Kindness, which premieres at  Cannes. She’ll have a role in Eddington, the Western film from Ari Aster. She’s also kept busy producing such films as Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain, Problemista, and I Saw the TV Glow, not to mention starring in the Showtime series The Curse.

As for McCary, this will be his first movie behind the camera since 2017’s Brigsby Bear.
