Brendan Cole 'threw a tantrum' after getting axed from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins leaving him 'absolutely fuming'

Ex-Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole is said to have been left 'absolutely fuming' after he was axed from the current series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

A source at Channel 4 has told The Sun that the ballroom pro, 44, who is known for being somewhat of a primadonna, threw the mother of all tantrums when he was the latest celebrity to fall from grace during the tough endurance series.

'Brendan was absolutely fuming to get culled because he believed he would pass the course,' the source reported. 'He thought it was a real kick in the balls after all the hard work he had put in across the week.

'For someone so competitive, it was tough to take — especially as he saw people staying who he thought he had matched, if not beaten, in terms of performance on the course.'

Brendan was axed from the series - following the likes of Katie Price and Yasmin Evans - on the most recent instalment of the show, given his marching orders by the show's chief instructor Ant Middleton.

Brendan said of his time on the show: 'It was an incredible experience and I have made some good friends out of it.

'I wouldn't say it's life-changing because I have done enough of these types of shows where you kind of understand what is going on at every point.'

This point of view appears very different to other past contestants on the show, who typically come away from it with a new perspective.

Since not being asked to return to Strictly in 2018, Brendan has gone on to appear on X Factor: Celebrity - where he failed to get past the audition round - and now Celebrity SAS.

He was seen perched on a crate, swinging his legs around in frustration at the end of the episode before saying: 'If you don't have some form of self-doubt at some point, you're not going to grow very much.

'You've got to take the good with the bad and listen to the positive and negative to enable you to grow and be the best you can be. I don't always get it right.

'I don't consider myself to be better than anybody else. But I do consider myself to be the best that I can be.'
