He was predeceased by : his parents, Burgess Blackburn and Josephine Blackburn of Debord, KY.; and his siblings, Earnest Blackburn (Betty), Glen Blackburn of Earl, Billy Joe Blackburn, Burgess Blackburn, Jr., Monetta Blackburn and Ida Goble (Bossier).

He is survived by : his wife Mildred McCoy Blackburn; his children, Sabrina Thompson (Aaron) of Pikeville, KY and Brandon Blackburn of Debord, KY; his grandchildren, Sydney and Lucy Thompson of Pikeville, KY.; his siblings, John Eddie Blackburn (Doris), Donald Blackburn (Greta), Phyllis Preece (Charles) and Betty Blackburn Chapman; and his sisters-in-law, Rose Mary Blackburn, Sharlene Blackburn, Rosa Faye Blackburn and Brenda Blackburn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Crum Funeral Home (498 New Rte 3, Inez, KY 41224). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
