raghda a Worst movie I have ever seen. No storyline and doesn't depict anything, just a fracture of the gruesome acts in abugharib and doesn't even condemn such acts. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a good movie till they complete changed the whole build up of the movie. It was so good but they really messed it up towards the end. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Started a bit slow, but it got very intense shortly thereafter. I can't put all my feelings about the movie into one paragraph...just to say that it's well worth watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie! Mark Jenkins NPR Boys of Abu Ghraib is a credible depiction of the tedium, frustration and humiliation of wartime service. Mar 30, 2014 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety Writer-director-star Luke Moran's drama about Abu Ghraib is an ambitious if not particularly revealing debut. Mar 28, 2014 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com "Boys of Abu Ghraib" has a few, brief insights into how boredom, anger, and frustration helped fuel the rage that led to torture but the film couches it all in the filmmaking of TV-movie melodrama, draining it of all potential power or social context. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 28, 2014 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Its tendency to water down the realities of Abu Ghraib trivializes its subject instead of providing depth or context. Mar 28, 2014 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Moran's writing and directing debut is an admirably ambitious examination of the one-baby-step-at-a-time process that leads a fundamentally decent person to shut down his moral compass do things that are, by any objective standard, reprehensible. Mar 28, 2014 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com It's a shame the picture ends on its knees when it had to the potential to create a certain viewpoint that could invite an understanding of the Abu Ghraib prison environment and the stress placed on all involved parties.
