Just transferred here and I couldnāt be happier! Itās amazing! The school I transferred from was very small and suffocating, laying off many professors and cutting programs during my short time there. Itās crazy to juxtapose that experience with this school. So many clubs and opportunities, thereās a feeling of respect and prestige that I love so much. Even on my worst days (and as an incredibly introverted person with severe social anxiety) Iām happy to be here. Iāve gotten a little overwhelmed at times but itās really been life changing and I canāt wait to spend the rest of my undergrad years here.
Boston University has warmly welcomed me into a community of students, faculty, and staff that consistently challenge and encourage me to better myself. The beautiful campus and architecture is unmatched, and the care that the staff puts into the dining experiences does not go unnoticed. The group of students the admissions team has put together is incredibly bright and bound for success. I am so proud to be part of this community!
Boston University took some getting used to when I transferred, going from a small, rural campus to a sprawling, city-based one. I've found that the environment here encourages independence and demands initiative. Talk to your professors and your peers, take your education into your own hands, and make a space for yourself in the community instead of waiting for things to happen to you. And, as best you can, make the most of the area's surroundings! Both the campus and the nearby city have so many places to explore and learn about.
