Love this place. Great service, great food. Everything that I've tried here has been awesome. The Ribs and pork sandwich are my favorites.

I've eaten a lot of bbq at lots of places. This is the best pork anywhere. The smoker is out front, and fired up fresh all day. The sauce is smoky and sweet (I get mine on the side). I don't even get a roll...- nothing to distract from the flavor of the meat. One important note: Cash Only.More

I was there for the first time as two neighbors said that it was very good. the BBQ sandwich was tasty. The pork was very fine chopped so bits fell off the roll. The sauce is added to the sandwich and not mixed into the...pork. I got the fries but they were very overcooked so I will not buy them the next time I visit. The total price for the regular sandwich, fries and canned soft drink was less than $7.00More

I live in the Tampa Bay area, so I have to wait for the Ribfest to get Johnson's ribs. I love to take the plunge with their spiciest [thermonuclear] ribs and 'feel the burn'. The lines for Johnson's is always four times as long as...the rest - for a reason. The people in that line are repeat customers, year after year.More

I used to frequent this spot during the two years I lived in Chesapeake! I've never ordered anything from here that I wasn't completely satisfied with! Their collards are the best of the best and definitely the best bbq in the area! Family owned with...very friendly service! It's cash only but definitely worth a trip to the atmMore

the real deal. Came and had to pay cash and very nice platter offshore pulled pork shoulder smoked with real wood she was smoky perfection.it was generous portion and their soul was excellent although I would have preferred to get it on the side and...just use what I want. Maybe next time I will see if they have any Carolina vinegar type.I will try the ribs next time. Smoker was out in the parking lot smoking away.a little hole in wall place in a strip mall. But great barbecue, nice portions and reasonable prices. No credit cards though.More

Honestly the place is no frills and a little aged. However the Family and Food are amazing. Service and food made with passion. Recommendations from the Cashier was such a treat. Being from Chicago which is more a rib tip staple then traditional ribs. This...was more then I expected. Baked beans and collard greens were average however the Ribs were perfect and the Sweet Potato Pie was a slice of Heaven I also had their sweet tea that gave me the Southern Chills.More

The wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the ribs. The service was a bit slow but the food made up for it. The tangy and sweet BBQ sauce was about what I expected. The pull pork was kind of chopped, not pulled....The ribs were pretty tender but all I could mostly taste was the sauce.More

This place is just a small hole in the wall but the BBQ is great. He has one several awards for his BBQ and it shows. We go there for lunch from work and always enjoy it. The place is clean and the staff is...friendly.More

Just flat out fine BAR-B-Q here. Found them by accident. Clean place. Simplicity rules. Homemade sides too. And great people running this place. Funny, happy warm folks.
