NEXT UP: ALLOA ATHLETIC (H)

Next up for the champions is the final game of the 2023/24 season, as we take on Alloa Athletic at The Falkirk Stadium on Trophy Day!

Kick-off is at 3pm at the Falkirk Stadium, Saturday 4th May.

The team are now just one game away from going down in history. Just 90 minutes away from being invincible.

The Bairns head into Saturday’s game unbeaten in 35, but have drawn their last two games. A tough point was earned at home against Kelty Hearts the weekend before last after Coll Donaldson was shown a straight red in the 18th minute. From then on, Falkirk were up against it, but managed to salvage a point. Last weekend was a different story, with the Bairns dominating Annan Athletic at Galabank. Despite controlling the game, a brace from Liam Henderson and a goal from Aidan Nesbit weren’t enough to secure three points as Annan saw two penalties awarded to them and a third goal coming from a defensive error. It just. wasn’t to be Falkirk’s day, with Liam Henderson leaving the pitch due to injury adding salt to the wounds.

Falkirk obviously remain top of the table, with 89 points, 18 ahead of Hamilton.

Despite Falkirk winning three out of three meetings with Alloa this season, they will prove tough opposition, having lost just one of their last five league fixtures. The Wasps’ good form has seen them secure third place in recent weeks and they will be looking to build momentum for the Championship Play-offs. 18-year-old striker Bobby Wales will be one to watch on Saturday with the in-form youngster having scored four goals in his last five games, and with three of Falkirk’s centre back options unavailable, he will be looking to capitalise on the day.
