He was predeceased by : his parents, Lafe Elijah and Opal Violet Johnson (Gilbert); his siblings, Ora Bell Whited, Charles "Chuck" Turner (Joe Dean Johnson) and Lafie Clifford Johnson; and his sister-in-law Frankie Whited-Ventura.

He is survived by : his wife Jonnita Johnson; his children, Keah Shawn Johnson (Michelle) of Grove, Tonya Kirk (Wayne) of Baxter Springs and Mellissa Johnson of Miami; his siblings, David Johnson (Claudia) of Commerce and Opal Christine Jones of Duncan; his grandchildren, Tyler Johnson (Jordi), Andrew Turner (Corey), Paege Peña (Alexis), Bradon Kirk, Colton Kirk and Benjamin McColley; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Ray Peña, Olliver Peña, Frankie Peña and Grady Peña.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service (5 B St NW, Miami, OK 74354). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Highway Tabernacle (220 South Main Street, Quapaw, OK 74363).
