FAYOLA S Season 4 of Blown away was my first time watching the show and it will definitely be the last. It was so obvious that they were pushing Morgan to win from the start! Why bother to act like they’re judging the individual presentations when you keep giving someone a pass based on perceived potential. In the end, her last presentation was childish and in no way awe- inspiring, unlike Ryan’s. Just like Ryan, I had no words really. He performed a beautiful feat. Maybe Katherine and the judges were bedazzled by her outfits more than her work. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/16/24 Full Review Jude F The ethics of the judge are very questionable. So unfair. Ryan was clearly robbed of this win. His work was so perfect and creative throughout the whole competition, yet they preferred to give the award to that teenage-like 'twisted' creativity bullshit. I'm never watching this show again unless they change this awful judge. What a disappointment again!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Valerie J I loved the first 3 seasons. Season 4 infuriated me. Each of the first 3 seasons felt like we were going on a journey with the artists and the judges. We were witnessing the artists grow and take risks. By the finale, we were witnessing 2 incredible artists who both deserved to win and who pushed themselves outside of their comfort zones. Season 4 is a disappointing experience. There is a distinct change in approach and the producers must believe that their audience is stupid. It is insulting. On the surface, they suddenly changed the host. And overall, it felt more like a gimmicky reality show like all the rest. The winner, Morgan, in no way stepped outside her comfort zone. We saw zero growth (except in her growing desire to wear less and less clothes). In the end, the artist who should have won, Ryan T, was sent home after growing, challenging himself, and creating sophisticated and compelling pieces of art. I know that art is subjective, but this season felt uncharacteristically manipulative. It will be hard to watch another season unless the producers get their noses out of the final outcome. Either that, or Catherine must go. Her comments often sound biased. I would love to see Deborah take her place!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Howard T Love the skill of the artists but the eventual winner was really undeserving. It felt as if the producers wanted the winner to be a certain person in spite of her actual work Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Diane M Another great season of Blown Away. I enjoyed it immensely once again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Eric E Morgan should have gone home on several pieces. Her lack of technical skills is apparent over and over again. Her "vision" amount to nothing more than middle school dark humor and many of her pieces were very amateur. Ryan T was robbed of the victory. His technical skills especially in the finally surpassed Morgan by lightyears. Her gallery was relying on several non glass aspects like paint and she did very little of the glass blowing herself. Ryan did all of his own work and made a truly beautiful display that challenges both his skills and the idea of glass. At no point was Morgan truly growing as an artist nor did she ever puch herself out of her comfort zone or try anything different despite other artists being told to stop doing the same thing. It's not okay to keep making birds but making a drug paraphernalia over and over again is just fine? I will not be watching another season after this.
