Originally built as a fisherman's cottage over 200 years ago this building stood alone with the beach coming right to the front door long before the big hotels were beginning to appear on the promenade. Today still holding on to its character it is a English Steakhouse serving only the best British beef aged for 31 days. Along with the wide range of steaks we also serve several chicken, fish and a few pasta dishes including some vegetarian options. Stumbled upon this little gem when walking on Blackpool front. Although we couldn’t get a table that day we booked for the following day as it looked great and plenty of outdoor seating with the current COVID pandemic left us feeling more than comfortable to...eat here. My wife ordered a 8oz fillet I went for the 12oz ribeye and the little toddler had the homemade pasta. After seeing how good the restaurant looked along with the menus on the entrance our expectations were high and the quality of the food more than matched this. The steaks were outstanding quality and cooked perfectly as requested. The lady serving on outside was great chatty and bubbly. By far the best part of what else was a pretty poor trip to Blackpool. Make sure you book this place as they were turning people away constantly for the hour and a half we were here.More

Booked the eatting inn after a Google search and reading reviews. I was not disappointed . Staff were amazing sooo attentive and lovely to chat too. The food was absolutely amazing , kids had fish/chicken/lasange and all really high standard and they ate every bit....I had the blackened cajun chicken and it was the best chicken I have ever tasted , the coleslaw was homemade and delish and the potatoes were a delight cross between roast and new potatoes. My partner got the steak and found it excellent quality. The price for 2 adults and 3 kids all have 2 drinks each and a main was really reasonable and would 100% go back here.More

Visited here tonight with Daughter & Granddaughter. What a lovely, welcoming place. Food delicious, sweets devine and staff friendly and efficient at all times. Our bill only came to £51 for 3 of us; this included 2 rounds of drinks, olives & bread, 3 mains...and 1 sweet. A must visit if you're in Blackpool.More

While in Blackpool I was after somewhere to treat Mrs B to a meal out somewhere different to the customary Wetherspoon adventure. I Googled Restaurants in Blackpool and The Eating Inn caught my eye as a suitable steak venue. We booked for 8.30 after Ben...said they’d just had a cancellation, and were pleased we did. An excellent menu with sides akin to the above mentioned venue which we love, and the quality was excellent - sad that they’d run out of lobster and also a certain brand of quince gin 😢 It’s to be appreciated though that these are still uncertain times where it’s probably still very hard to predict what to order. No-shows, of which there had been many that day apparently, are also things that pose quite a headache to establishments - why on earth do people book and then not show up? In my opinion the staff should take a £10 per person deposit when booking which of course comes off the final bill. Orange torte for pud was lovely and the staff were all very keen to make sure we were happy with things, although drinks service was a little slow. Prices were reasonable for the quality and variety, and we’l definitely be back 😋😋More

We booked a table here for my husbands 30th birthday and it was absolute incredible! The waitresses were so polite and the lovely lady who appeared to actually own the place was actually the manager and she was so friendly and kind! The garlic bread...was delicious for starter to share and then we both went on the have the house specials.. fillet and sirloin steak.. it melted in your mouth and was just cooked to perfection! The mood in the restaurant was modern and calming.. when we return to Blackpool I’m the future we will definitely be coming here again and ordering the exact same thing! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit! Mr & Mrs WildeMore

I didn't know this restaurant even existed until doing a search for somewhere to have dinner after a day at the Pleasure Beach. Managed to get a same day booking for dinner and wow, what a find! On arriving (5pm) the place was pretty quiet...yet there were tons of waiting staff standing around. I thought they were being a bit optimistic on what was a wet Wednesday October evening but boy I was wrong - not before long the place was heaving with many more turning up looking for a walk up. We each had steaks that were cooked to absolute perfection, the included sides of tomatoes and mushrooms weren't the usual afterthought and were also delicious. I thought it was great that they gave the option of the fillet steak in 6, 8 and 10 oz sizes. The wait staff were very, very friendly and helpful and added to the what was a fantastic meal. The bill for 4 (4 steaks, a couple of starters, desserts for all and a bottle of wine) came in at a bargain £140. Just a pity we were only in Blackpool for that one day as I would have eaten there again in an instant.More

Booked The Eating Inn for the 15/9/20, upon arrival we were seated very promptly and ordered & received our drinks very quickly. Shortly after we ordered our food (both ordered a starter & main) after 20 minutes another couple came in and ordered & within...10 minutes they had their starters but we still had not received ours. After a further 10 minutes (totalling to 40 minutes since we had ordered) our mains arrived instead of our starters, I explained this to the waitress she was very apologetic. We accepted the mains instead as was worried it would take quite a while to prepare the starters. Food was absolutely gorgeous & couldn’t fault it, service was quite slow afterwards even though they weren’t very busy. Took another 15 minutes to be served dessert. All in all was a lovely meal & would return, it was a shame about the wait times & food mixups but mistakes happen!More

Really bad service had wine dropped on us they didn't offer us a complimentary one. Then starter plates didn't get taken away until our mains arrived. Was asked if we would like sauces with our meal we said yes they never came until asking again...15 mins later. Lack of communication between staff. Doesn't deserve the hype stick with miller's.More

We had a family meal here after seeing numerous recommendations online. I write a lot of reviews on various platforms and always speak as I find. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant by the bar. My husband and I ordered a fillet...steak, we both like our steaks well done, I know I know! It’s just how we like it! Anyway, the restaurant was clearly busy but the staff were keeping on top of things. Whilst there we observed several people walk in and ask for a table, only to give the staff abuse when told they were only taking bookings not walk ins…. This being said the staff kept cheerful and we waited an average amount of time for our food which was impressive considering how busy it was! The steaks came, my husbands was cooked fine. I cut into mine, blood came out. I deliberated what to do, my husband was urging me to just eat it but I knew I wouldn’t be able to stomach it. And at that point along came Nikita! She’d been working behind the bar all night (very busy), and happened to overhear my conversation with my husband. She came over and asked me what was wrong. She then swept the offending plate away and replaced it within 5 minutes with another cooked to perfection! All the while smiling and apologising it wasn’t cooked correctly in the first place. She saved the day for me, and turned a negative upside down with her amazing service. With staff like this, I would recommend anyone visit this restaurant. Oh, and the food was awesome!!!More

Two friends and I visited this steakhouse on a friends trip away to Blackpool. Upon arrival, we were given the option of sitting outside or inside. Given the typical northern weather we opted to sit inside. The service was fantastic and we had drinks orders...taken as soon as we were seated and ordered mains not long after. All three of us opted for the fillet steaks with chips and peppercorn sauce. The steaks came with a salad garnish and were topped with mushrooms. I don’t like mushrooms so I gave them to my friend (which is why the photo has none). I opted to have my steak cooked medium and while it was the tiniest bit too rare for my personal taste, it was still absolutely delicious. I’m a fussy person with chips, too, but they were also amazing and topped with the best peppercorn sauce. I’ll be honest and say the dessert for me, while perfectly nice, wasn’t particularly special but you don’t come to a steakhouse for chocolate fudge cake, you go for the steak and honestly it was close to one for the best steaks I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten at Hawksmoor in Manchester and Edinburgh and for what could have cost me £50+ in there cost £25 in here. Our trip was unfortunately cut short so we are planning a return to Blackpool in the near future and I can guarantee we will definitely be coming back. 10/10. Loved itMore

Came today with my partner, we had two different peope take our orders. Our starters came out way before our drinks (we had to chase up our drinks with a waiter and got told our drinks order was lost. We had to wait about 40...minutes between our starter and our main, and my steak came out and it was cold. My partners steak was cooked medium well when a rare steak was ordered. Not one waiter asked us how our food was. Once our main was cleared up there was no mention of asking if we wanted the dessert menu or any other communication. Barring in mind; after waiting for 10 minutes we managed to get someone's attention and got the bill. (the resturant wasn't busy and there was about 5 waitors). The music next door was so loud, I could barley even hear what my partner was saying and he was sat next to me. I would avoid this place if you're visiting the area as the service and food was poor. What a waste of money.More

Booked this place to eat after reading its review's on trip advisor. Turned up on time service and staff were amazing very tentative and nothing was too much trouble for them. Unfortunately the food was a big let down, 4 people eating 3 of us...had steak and the other one had lasagne. The food all arrived at the same time so we could all eat together as you would expect. Unfortunately the lasagne was cold and I don't just mean warm I mean cold we sent this back another arrived 5 mind later piping hot and slightly over cooked some black and crispy on the top and the chips were warmed up and not crisp. My food was 12oz rump medium very chewy and not much flavour I had to leave some but my chips were nice. The bill arrived which was £94 ish no discount for the meal sent back. I don't think i would go back to this place for food or drinks its very expensive. I think my review is fair over all. Blackpool lacks nice places to eat and I would say this is one of the better places to eat but its not a high end eatery but the prices are. I have no problem paying this amount or more for food if when I leave the restaurant screaming wow that was beautiful food but unfortunately this place sticks in my mind for its good service not great food.More

Popped in after a trip to pleasure beach, the outdoor seating area and inside are lovely. Wasn’t expecting anything spectacular as everything was well/cheaply priced, and was absolutely blown away! Possibly the best steak I’d ever had! Staff knew what they were talking about, I’m...a fussy pain when it comes to fat and the waitress was amazing at recommending what to have. All the staff are absolutely lovely. Very happy with our visit!More

Excellent steak and service. We had booked but wanted to eat earlier and they were happy to fit us in. The restaurant is very nice, suitable for couples or families. We both had fillet steak, which was very tasty and served with chips, a large...mushroom and salad. All of the staff we dealt with were very efficient and super friendly, we didn’t have to wait too long to get our food either. My only slight grumble is that I thought the chips could have been chunkier , I did have a few scrags that weren’t really chips. For pudding, We would recommend the chocolate orange torte which was very tasty. We would certainly visit again.More

Made a reservation for the Friday evening, the staff were so accommodating & friendly. My partner had the ribeye 10oz & I got the rump 8oz. Both cooked to perfection, perfect portion sizes and the price is so reasonable for the service/taste etc. Cocktails were...perfect too. Enjoyed it that much we booked again for the Saturday evening, I had salmon with mash, it was perfect as expected & my partner had the chicken kiev, he more than enjoyed his too. Made our little weekend away better than expected.More
