50% Tomatometer 16 Reviews 75% Audience Score 100+ Ratings Elena Michaels is a loner in a world she never wanted to be part of. The only female werewolf in existence, she is desperate to escape from both the paranormal world she's in and the man who turned her into a wolf. So she abandons her pack and moves to a new city, where she works as a photographer and hides her strange existence from her new boyfriend. But she is torn between the two worlds when bodies start appearing in her pack's backyard, and Elena finds herself at Stonehaven, the creatures' ancestral domain, and quickly realizes that she'll stop at nothing to defend her pack. "Bitten" is based on Kelley Armstrong's New York Times best-selling fantasy book series "Women of the Otherworld." Read More Read Less Watch on Fandango at Home Premiered Jan 09 Buy Now

      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Though it attempts to bring in a broader audience than your average SyFy fare, Bitten is ultimately another cliched, cheesy soap.

Jessica Johnson Time Out Bitten fails to bring anything new to the table by placing far too much importance on its uninteresting gesture at a love triangle. Oct 28, 2019 Full Review Tirdad Derakhshani Philadelphia Inquirer Though it lacks the production value or special-effects budget of the Twilight movies, Bitten has a smooth, slick look and boasts solid performances. Oct 28, 2019 Full Review Ed Bark Uncle Barky Bitten is mildly diverting while also being pretty goofy in spots -- even for a werewolf drama. Rated: C+ Jan 13, 2014 Full Review Sean Axmaker Cinephiled Whether we need another werewolf show or not, this Canadian production isn't too bad. Oct 28, 2019 Full Review Amelia Benton Den of Geek In a world where it seems book to movie series are, almost, more prevalent than supernatural based stories, I'm glad to see someone choose a slightly different, definitely more difficult path. Rated: 4/5 Oct 28, 2019 Full Review Eleni Armenakis The Loop Bitten was just pounding out the twists in the final moments. Apr 7, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

KerryWhite's S Rating: 7/10. 73/100 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Audience Member Loved every moment!!! Wish there could be more 😢 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review rob o This series started of with an interesting premisse, but then sort of forgets about it and then kind of contradicts it. There is also a love triangle that is poorly executed and frankly unbelievable. And this show suffers from the same disregard of physics that many contemporary entertainment contains. A 50 kilo woman can easily beat a male twice her size. In both human and wolf form. This show could have been so much more. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member If you read any of the books, you will be HIGHLY disappointed by this series. The acting is mediocre at best, the animation is awful(but thankfully in brief spurts), and they completely butchered several key characters(looks & personally). With all that said, if you've never read the books, you MAY find this series enjoyable. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm trying to watch this show on Netflix. Its pathetic how weak the "pack" is. In halfway through season 1 and its very nearly unbearable. I have had to just stop watching at least 3 separate episodes, out of pure frustration because the pack is so weak. WEAK WEAK WEAK!!! This show gives werewolves a bad name. If not for the EXTREMELY limited choices of quality shows to watch on Netflix these days, I wouldn't even be forcing myself to watch this pathetic, frustrating excuse for a T.V. show. Damn shame too, because its the 1st Canadian T.V. show (of the supernatural nature) that I've ever watched that drove me this INSANE!!! OMG!!! GARBAGE!!! Weakest "pack" of werewolves I've ever seen lol Pussies! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I have read the series (Armstrong) loved the story lines. I ached to read more. I held off on watching the TV Series as long as I could because the characters in my mind were nothing like the show cast. I can't help but feel that if the producers and writers of the show had stuck to the novels a little closer the show would have attained a higher regard. The sex scenes alone would have covered televisions in steamy primal sweat. As it is now I find it a bit too teen drama lacking in the essence of a strong female lead. Just my opinion Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
