Birmingham Community Charter High School Reviews
Rating 4.13 out of 5 503 reviews
Birmingham is a very good school. There are different clubs to choose from. From Filipino Club to Music Appreciation Club, there's several clubs to help student get involved and socialized. Although it's competitive to try out for sports, the sports teams are great for any students wanting to increase, enhance, and challenge their skills. The staff is amazing with the students. They teach to help students succeed in the future, they teach for the wellbeing of their students. The counselors are amazing; they offer an endless amount of assistance to students and preparing them for college and their career. There are several facilities in birmingham, it's sole purpose to help students and their health. There are PSWs (personal support workers) for each grade and students can go to them when in need. The school also has several programs for students and parents to get involved in. Parents are kept up to date with emails from the school.
I didn't know what to expect from Birmingham, but I definitely can say that this school helped me get started with my future. One thing about Birmingham is that they'll provide you with many resources and opportunities. This school has career classes , sports, and many clubs and extracurricular activities to join. They give you tons of information about colleges, financial aid, scholarships, and so much more. Not only that, but I think the teachers and counselors here are amazing. I'm shy when asking for help, but the teachers here have made me feel comfortable. They're helpful and encouraging. Something I've noticed in students is they tend not to care about anything. Our school does an amazing job to create a positive environment by hosting events, but students still lack spirit. They are also inconsiderate of others. There's been many times where people think it's fun to taunt me, even though it's irritating. I hope to see an increase in student participation and acts of kindness.
Birmingham has amazing administration, teachers, and counselors of all kind. Although Birmingham’s most know for it sports it has many opportunities than just sports. It can be helping out through the community with clubs or after school programs. There are many resources and tools available and they’re extremely accessible.
