Mountain snow will continue today through Tuesday. This snowfall will impact snow removal operations over the Beartooth Highway, and outdoor recreation in the mountains. The heaviest accumulations will be on north and east facing slopes.
Rain is expected today into Tuesday across the region. The heaviest precipitation will fall mainly along and south of I-90/US-212. Foothills locations could see over half an inch of precipitation during this period.
A potentially strong spring storm system will move into the region mid to late week. This system has the potential to produce locally heavy rainfall and mountain snow, though timing and placement of these are still uncertain. Those with outdoor plans mid to late week should be prepared for cool wet conditions, and mountain snow if heading to the mountains.
Active spring weather will continue through the week. Stay weather aware if you have outdoor plans. Don’t see your city? Check out https://www.weather.gov/forecastpoints
