Bill Belichick may have had more on his mind than the Patriots’ quarterback situation this offseason.
A screen grab — featuring a ring — taken by NESN’s Dale Arnold of the Patriots’ preseason-opening win over Washington sparked rumors that Belichick may have gotten married this offseason. Photos of Belichick sporting a ring started circulating in May, however, the most recent set has gained the most traction.
Belichick and Linda Holliday have been in a long-term relationship. She does refer to to herself as Ms. Bill Belichick on her Instagram bio and, as The Boston Globe points out, she is sporting a sparkling ring in their most recent photo together — from three weeks ago in The Hamptons.
Still, there has been no evidence of nuptials and the Patriots did not confirm a wedding when The Globe requested a comment.
Belichick has known Holliday since 2007, a year after his first marriage with Debby Clark ended. Belichick and Clark had three children together: Stephen, Brian and Amanda.
Brian tied the knot in June, which Linda celebrated on Instagram. But, thus far, no pictures of her and Belichick celebrating their own big day have emerged.
