Beverly Hills Cop is a 1984 American buddy cop action comedy film directed by Martin Brest 👮 Meh, it passed the time. Just. 😐 👍🏼👎🏼 This is almost more about the soundtrack than the movie itself… Fast-talking, quick-thinking Detroit street cop Axel Foley has bent more than a few rules and regs in his time, but when his best friend is murdered, he heads to sunny Beverly Hills to work the case like only he can.

Despite being a very typical 80s cop film, this movie is just plain fun! Eddie holds your attention effortlessly and makes the movie an easy and enjoyable watch. The supporting characters are just as intriguing. The upbeat music of the time fits perfectly. No wonder they made 2 more... 3 soon?

This is my favorite Eddie Murphy movie of all time. Saw it in the 80s when I was a kid and still enjoy it today. I used to watch Eddie Murphy on SNL and when this came out on video, I wanted to see it. I loved it. I then became an official Murphy fan. The comedy is hilarious along with the story and action. I loved how he pranked the detectives at first then became their buddies to solve a murder. The second was just as great as the first one. I won't talk about the 3rd.

This has to have the GOAT score/soundtrack for silly cop action movie, Axel has a Mega Man ass theme song that is awesome. Eddie is awesome in this but I would argue it is somehow not nearly silly enough.
