The seminal teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 premiered on Fox in 1990, propelling its young stars to teen-idol status and birthing multiple shows in its wake. Spawning spin-offs, books, and a limited series revival, the series continues to impact pop culture all these years later. Ahead, check in with what the cast members are up to these days.

Luke Perry (Dylan McKay)

Luke Perry rose to fame after playing Dylan McKay for the better part of a decade during the show's run and also gained some recognition from his part in the (now cult classic) Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie in 1992.

After 90210 ended, Perry went on to other television roles, including HBO's Oz and John From Cincinnati, before landing the part of Fred Andrews, Archie's father, on the CW series Riverdale in 2017. In February 2019, Perry suffered a massive stroke at his Los Angeles home; he died March 4, leaving behind his two children and fiancée. His final onscreen role was in Quentin Tarantino's 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, released posthumously.

Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor)

Jennie Garth not only portrayed troubled teen Kelly Taylor on the original Fox series, but reprised the role as a more mature Kelly on the spin-offs Melrose Place and 90210.

Additionally, Garth played Valerie Tyler on the sitcom What I Like About You opposite Amanda Bynes from 2002 to 2006. She later competed on Dancing With the Stars and starred on her own reality show, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country on CMT.

Garth and former costar Tori Spelling also host a podcast together, 90210MG, where they rewatch and discuss old episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh)

After four seasons of playing Brenda Walsh (Brandon's twin sister) on the Fox show, Shannen Doherty was cast as the lead on the WB series Charmed. She played the part of witch Prue Halliwell for three seasons, before leaving in 2001.

Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2015, announcing that she was in remission in April 2017. In 2020, she revealed she has stage 4 cancer. The actress also appeared on a TV series remake of her iconic 1988 movie Heathers.

Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh)

For nine seasons on Beverly Hills, 90210, Jason Priestley played the upright and moralistic Brandon Walsh, who was always there to listen to the gang's problems. The role propelled him to teen heartthrob status and later allowed him to try out directing; he ended up directing 15 episodes.

Since the Fox series, Priestly has appeared on many notable shows, such as What I Like About You (costar Jennie Garth's WB sitcom) and Without a Trace. In 2013, Priestley made his feature film directorial debut with the independent road trip comedy Cas & Dylan, starring Richard Dreyfuss and Tatiana Maslany. He also starred on the Canadian crime series Private Eyes from 2016 to 2021.

Tori Spelling (Donna Martin)

Tori Spelling played Donna, wealthy Beverly Hills-ite and best friend of Kelly Taylor, on the Fox teen drama. Though introduced in a supporting role, Spelling's Donna moved into a main character position with her own story lines as the series progressed.

Since the show's end, the actress has appeared in multiple made-for-television holiday movies, including A Carol Christmas in 2003 and The Mistle-Tones in 2012. Spelling reprised her role as Donna on Beverly Hills, 90210's spin-off, 90210, in 2009. She and husband Dean McDermott starred on their own Oxygen reality series from 2007 to 2012.

Spelling also had a supporting role in 2018's The Last Sharknado: It's About Time and appeared in the first season of Fox's The Masked Singer. She is a published author, with several books to her name.

Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders)

Ian Ziering took on the role of Corvette-driving, popular kid Steve Sanders on 90210 for 10 years.

Since then, he's probably best known for playing Fin Shepard in the Sharknado franchise alongside Tara Reid. The actor has also enjoyed stints on many reality shows, including Dancing With the Stars in 2007 (on which he placed fourth). He later recurred on the short-lived DC superhero series Swamp Thing.

Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman)

After playing shy Andrea Zuckerman on the show for the first five seasons (and reappearing for guest spots in later episodes), Gabrielle Carteris enjoyed bountiful acting and voice-over roles in television and film.

She also had her own syndicated talk show, which aired from 1995 to 1996 — though her main focus has been her activism in Hollywood, speaking out against ageism in the industry. She served as SAG-AFTRA president from 2016 to 2021.

Brian Austin Green (David Silver)

Brian Austin Green portrayed wannabe cool kid David Silver on the Fox teen drama.

After the show wrapped, he tried his hand at sci-fi as a regular on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, before settling into comedy with stints on the sitcoms Freddie, Wedding Band, and Anger Management. Green also served as a judge on Fox's The Masked Dancer in 2020.

Tiffani Thiessen (Valerie Malone)

Tiffany Thiessen joined Beverly Hills, 90210 in season 5, playing the troubled Valerie Malone.

Though undoubtedly most famous for her role as Kelly Kapowski on Saved by the Bell (a part she played prior to 90210), she has also been part of shows such as Two Guys and a Girl, Fastlane, and White Collar. From 2015 to 2017, Thiessen hosted her own show on Cooking Channel, Dinner at Tiffani's.

Thiessen earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for her performance as Lori Mendoza on the Netflix sitcom Alexa & Katie, which aired from 2018 to 2020. Since December 2020, she has hosted the MTV comedy clip show Deliciousness.

Carol Potter (Cindy Walsh)

For seasons 1 to 5, Carol Potter was a regular on 90210, playing Brandon and Brenda's mom Cindy Walsh. When her onscreen husband was offered a promotion in Hong Kong, both Potter and James Eckhouse, who played Jim Walsh, enjoyed a special guest status on the show.

Since then, Potter played Joan Cummings on NBC's Sunset Beach and has guest-starred on numerous shows including NYPD Blue, JAG, Crossing Jordan, and Providence. She has largely slowed down her onscreen career since the late-2000s.

James Eckhouse (Jim Walsh)

Like Potter, Eckhouse shifted from a series regular to guest star after five seasons and an overseas promotion for his character, Jim. He also gave directing a go on the series, helming three episodes of the teen drama.

Since Beverly Hills, 90210, Eckhouse has had small parts on shows such as The Affair, Station 19, and NCIS. He also had a minor role as a senator in 2012's The Avengers.

Joe E. Tata (Nat Bussichio)

As Nat Bussichio (Brandon's boss and owner of the Peach Pit), Joe E. Tata enjoyed a guest role in the first few seasons of the show, before becoming a series regular in the sixth season.

He later reprised his role as Nat on a few occasions on the CW spin-off 90210. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2018, Tata died in 2022 at the age of 85.
